I am sick of substandard, poor teachers in the system. The incompetence in the school system in regards to special needs is appalling. There is not enough space in this box to describe my disgust!

I'm really worried about those kids that voted that poor kid out. That lady basically just told them that if you treat people like shit its not to hurt them your "helping" them. And I have no doubt the kids in that class are going to feel like crap when they look back on this. It won't be their fault but they'll still feel guilty and probably need loads of therapy as much as Alex Barton......highly doubt that teacher'll get any new kids soon

Potillo had her tenure back. That monster of a woman has no right to be alive! What she's done to that child can not be forgiven. The state of Florida be damned for not finding any emotional abuse in what she had done.

I'm from California, and I was abused like this. Except she told my class mates to stay away from me because I had autism "which is a chronic disease"!

Still, this is unacceptable. She shouldn't be even a teacher. I believe every US teacher should be required to have a SDC Certificate along with their cridentials.

dat was so sad but i'm glad dat the teacher got dismissed from her job and hope dat she will never be allowed to take up another position ever untill she can show us that she has learnt some thing. i feel really strongly for dat little kid. my prayers and thoughts r wif u. I'm a Aspie as well and can understand how dat most prob made u feel.

wow, as a mother of a child with AS, my heart breaks for the kiddo who didnt choose his disorder...how dare this teacher treat ANYONE with such disrespect. To the family...prayers are with you...IM happy to hear she was dismissed...these kiddo's are super strong...I pray he will be able to go forward and trust another teacher.
