I just realized, whenever there's christian music ppl compliment the lyrics (which is great :) ) but with regular pop songs everyone compliments the singers' voice. Maybe everyone should be wise about lyrics and not just focus on a singer's capability to sing.
All I know is that when I listen to praise and worship music all other music pales in comparison. There is something ... powerful... attached to this kind of music that makes others just seem like noise - and not even good noise. And it totally leaves me wanting more. It gives me joy when Im angry or sad, it gives me hope when I have none. All I can say more is that there MUST be a God. And that his love is shown through this kind of music and it is overwhelming!

my view of god might not be 100% accurate yet, but there is substance in the scriptures i quoted, if you do not recongnize that, then you are surely blinded by the law which you so dearly love.
Do not think God changed at all, he surely is the same as in the O.T. But Jesus achieved what no man could do. Attaining right standing with God for all who do believe. So there is no sin for God to punish, he did pour out ALL his wrath on Jesus. If your waiting for a God to punish sinners, your gonna wait a long time.

You CANT read them all with the same eye. Meaning, if you were reading poetry would you read it like a text book? no. If you look at history of the last 200 years and look at the variations of literature, and how literature has changed with the change of perspective, culture, and technology, they are very different. how is it that the bible written over a 2000 year period the writers all write with the same theology and perspective. @ndzoko You clearly have not read the gospel. If that was true, we would all be dead. The point of the gospel is that we are all sinners, and Christ died for us and made a way for us. God is sovereign and created the universe. We poisoned his perfect creation and rebelled against his authority. No one c an say that there isn't something wrong with humanity. That the world is broken. But God loves us more than we can fathom despite this. THAT is the message of the gospel brother.

@ndzoko Ive read those passages my friend. God is sovereign. And just, you wouldn't put a murderer in a court and expect him to get away with his offense would you? The same with God. God is a god of LOVE. But also JUSTICE. When Jesus died on the cross, he paid the penalty for our sin, so that anyone who believes in him and confesses him as Lord, is saved and will spend eternity in heaven. Jesus paid the penalty for our offenses. This is called the "new covenant". That Jesus took all the wrath.

Gal 3:13 - Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." John 5:45 "But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set." Set then not your hopes on the law but on Jesus, he wants to giv u life + blessings.

@ndzoko An Anglican bishop who doesn't believe in the afterlife isn't a christian my friend.. a large portion Christianity is about believing in judgement and heaven and hell. If you don't believe in heaven and hell. you simply aren't a christian. Look, you can blaspheme God all you want, and try to justify your own behavior. Choose not to follow him because he is "evil". But it reality, HE is God. You are not. And one day you will stand before him and have to account for what you've done.

You CANT read them all with the same eye. Meaning, if you were reading poetry would you read it like a text book? no. If you look at history of the last 200 years and look at the variations of literature, and how literature has changed with the change of perspective, culture, and technology, they are very different. how is it that the bible written over a 2000 year period the writers all write with the same theology and perspective. Call it a fluke, but that doesnt happen over 2000 years.
