  • Whatever happens from now on, you stand ferm and face your destiny, without fear, but with courage.

  • Don't fear failure. My new phrase.

  • This speech always gets me going. This speech is what got me through first grade back then. It's amzaing how Toonami inspired me so much. Especially this music video. It's also what drives me to go to college. "A boy can dream endless possibilities. Whatever happens, face the future head on, no matter what choice you make, with courage. Whatever happens then is up to you. The children leave home to follow this quest and as they go, they wonder, "what's out there for me...What's waiting for me?"

  • Definitely the deepest bump/promo Toonami made. I always think back to this when growing up a little more seems tough.

  • toonami aftermath is soo boss

  • We DO want toonami on CN we just need the right people directing it. Don't lose hope. We have toonamiaftermath.om that plays toonami ALLL day we want some new shoes that stay true to the innovation we knew and loved. We need Toonami disciples. Are you with me?

  • Hilda is what made Outlaw Star worth watching. Until midway of ep 4.............. : (

  • @KingCommando32

:O?! Some of the episodes were not necessary but it was overall (in my standing) its high on the list with Cowboy Bebop and a lot of Anime from the 90's-2008's.

  • @ZSwierczynski

Yeah. But I think it was a TERRIBLE mistake to have her killed off. She had a sense of leadership. Which could have made the show more popular. Rule #1 NEVER kill off a basa55 character. Especially if it's a female. : ) I mean I kinda liked it from the start but I can see why it did not gain that much popularity. If a sequel is made. It should be about Hilda like resurrected or something. And If I ever become an animator like I want to then I'm going to try to make my own show.

  • @ZSwierczynski

I did not see most of the eps but what is your POV in the episodes?

  • @KingCommando32

Like one or two didn't have to be in there. But they are great. The plot is great.

  • gene: im....im not running

  • @squall600

Hilda: "YA JUST GONNA KEEP RUNNING AWAY?!"

  • The epic-ness of these classic toonami videos echo throughout time

  • wh don't we do these instead of amv's

  • @iweargoggles2

Because very few videos can withstand the epicness that is the narrator from Outlaw Star

  • Who are we? Where are we going in life? Billions of people in this world and only one of us. Only one like us. Do we live the lives of legends or losers? What makes a man great? Why does a boy lose his innocence to become a man? All I know is....don't fear failure.

  • when I was in school this made me think about life, sound cheesy but true

  • Toonami?!

OH GOD I JUST NOSTALGIA'D SO FUCKING HARD.

  • Cartoon Network oughta hire one of us. "We know we've gone downhill, but there's nothing any of us can do. When we try to make anything right again, it gets shot down."

"I'll say this once- Toonami. Don't dilute it. Don't bring it down. Make it tough. Make it Hardcore. Make it Badass. Make it Gold."

    "How do we do that?"

"Same way you did it the first time."

"I'm not sure we can pull it off anymore..."

    "I can."

    "Really?"

"Step aside. Tom's been sleeping for too long."

  • that beat is fucking sick

  • "A boy has the right to dream , they are a endless possibilities stretched before him"

Peter Cullin's voice is SO Epic B)

  • @Famn180 Actually it is Beau Billingslea, the voice actor for Jet Black in Cowboy Bebop.

Peter Cullen has a slightly more epic and resonating voice. And definitely deeper. Check out "Advanced Robotics" at the right of this video and compare the two voices. Easy mistake to make.

  • @pratt123 Damn dude ahhaha i stand corrected that's so ironic though their voices in way match thanks a lot dude PCE ! :)

  • ( 1:16 ) LOL I love her face... it's all -_____-

  • i wish i could snatched cartoon network & toonami up by the collar and ask:

"youre gonna just keep runnin away?!"

their comeback a few years ago was terrible with that line up on saturday nights... R.i.P toonami... hopefully boomerang network works up the courage to resurrect this "greatness'

  • I only wish that cartoon network could see that no one is safe now that these dreams are dead...

  • This is really good video and audio quality. Good to know there are people like tpjean87 who can deliver media the same way it was broadcast.

  • I nostalgia'd. Hard.

  • nostalgia :'(

  • Ah, I love these so much...I remember being blown away by Toonami back in the day...if only it stuck to it. I wonder what the people who headed it are doing now? Whoever made this was definitely pretty talented, and they had loads of stuff like it on the block.

  • This is was the definition of tv. We should be grateful we had the opportunity to witness this.

  • THIS is an AMV!

  • I still agree with this. Late 90's and early 00's was the best age for tv.

  • the 5 that dnt like this are bieber fans

  • (Im putting this video on my computer so i always have it.) The Epicness of this video just puts shivers down my spine, i shall always love you Tom and Toonami, so Rest In Peace.

  • This was my favorite part of toonami!!! I miss the good ol' days...

  • Now this right here takes me back! Damn u cn why did u have to destroy a big part of my childhood

  • Man ever time I hear this I get in a sense of calm. ALL HAIL TOONAMI. Rest in peace.

defining a generation *single tear rolls down check* Bang

  • man now this video brings back some memories...

  • I remember this music video so well. RIP Toonami

  • I've always ALWAYS remembered "you just gonna keep running away!" "Just keep running away?...I'm not running" and when stuff gets hard and i feel like quitting i repeat that to myself

  • Outlaw Star could blow Naruto's angsty wannabe-ninja bullshit out of the water at any given time. This is why we can't have nice things. I feel sorry for this generation.

  • @svenrozeboom

I agree, anime today is getting worse and worse. The only good anime being aired right now is Fullmetal Alchemist, but that's just me, I haven't bothered looking up new animes to watch, nothing but crappy "Chibi" or "Kawaii" Bullcrap.

  • @shrek187

theres plenty of good anime out there. just not in america.

  • @toookoooldrew118

i know that anime is not just what they air in America.

But the majority I am seeing now is a bunch of anime based on schoolgirls and such. I watched the first season of Haruhi, liked it at first. Then looked back and realized "The hell was I watching?" this guy I know wanted me to watch Lucky Star, thank god I never did.

Also male protagonists now are starting to look like guys who look like girls. Weird that people are into protagonists like that now.

  • @shrek187

Well an older one that is pretty good is Great Teacher Onizuka. A new Anime that I actually really like is called Fairy Tail. Both are funny and have a lot of action. In regards to the guys who look like girls part, thats mainly for the female audience members. I'm still not sure why they like that though.

  • @svenrozeboom This.

  • I can still quote this commercial...I love it so much

  • You know, I get it that we're all in nostalgia mode and everything, but what really gets me is that you don't see things like this on TV anymore, not the actual shows, but being taught a life lesson made clear through videos like this. It grabs your attention then teaches you about life, and it doesn't feel like values are being shoved down your throat either, its something you do not see these days...

  • @WildcatSalas Thats very true, infact most times you see the opposite. This, for me, was what really inspired me when I was a teenager. As nerdy as that sounds, what they are saying is true, and I only find it more true the more life goes on.

  • 1:13 to 1:22 is the best part

  • {{BEST LINE}}

"Whatever happens from now on... You stand Firm.. And face your destiny Without fear... But with courage"

    Yoshio Musaki - Tenci Muyo

  • You guys shut the fuck up with your nigger/aids talk.

It's defiling the memories that are known as toonami.

    Show some damn respect.

If you buttpluggers want to do that, go to a 4chan video.

  • @unionofonion how did you get a high rated comment, such a bad use of words, if you really were going to show respect to the memory then dont say things like that

  • @Roaring2Thunder It was the truth.

People in the comments section for the video and bickering ruins it...Ruins something very personal to most of us that I happen to see when watching it that cannot be avoided and need to just stop and take their homo arguments elsewhere. My use of words are truthful and sincere, they aren't insincere. I'm just a very blunt person that isn't afraid to state the facts or truth.

  • @unionofonion hm i see i had misjudged you sorry.

  • @Roaring2Thunder You're not the first one to state things without thinking first.

  • @unionofonion Damn straight. Toonami was effin' awesome... Then, they replaced everything toonami-related with creepy ass shit known as the cartoons of today.

  • are u sure maybe u should go luck that up retard

  • dude u st8 gay for even thinking about a question like that u gay ass homo

  • dude u clearly don;'t know how stupid and gay you are

  • dude stop fcking messaging u gay fck u keep saying the samething over and over about blacks and AIDS and fcking "Dudes" in the ass

  • @headoverseer You sure seem fixated on being fucked up the ass by AIDS infested niggers.

It's all you seem to think/talk about.

  • @headoverseer Please go troll somewhere else no matter how funny this comment was.

  • You gotta make your own path - this vid is insprantional wurdz of wizdom

  • Outlaws never go down easy no matter what happens to them.

  • raised on toonami.... indeeed

  • Never seen this on Toonami.

  • never? thats not possible. man this was something we used to see every day. but like all comercials they have their time so they fade off. maybe you watched it after or before

  • JUST KEEP RUNNING AWAY?

  • anybody know who made the song?

  • broken promise, by joe boyd vigil i believe it is.

  • duuuude i miss outlaw star sooo much lol i haven thought of it in years this still applys to me n im 20 i was raised on toonami tom foreverrrr

  • Toonami is and always has been...legit. Old school toonami is IMO, better than adult swim. YuYu, Rurouni, DBall and DBallZ. Classic

  • Long live Toonami R.I.P. 1997-2008 :'(

Come back from the grave and reclaim cartoon network back to the state it was and kill those shitty kiddy shows

  • too much nostalgia. I miss toonami.

  • I miss the Toonami of the good ol' days so much...

  • the people that did these put a lot of thought and effort into these videos. in terms of inspiration i can't remember something of the same caliber that eclipses it.

  • at 31 seconds of the video, there is a clip of a show that i used to love, i just cant remember the name of it...

    anybody know ithe name?

  • tenchi muyo

  • Tenchi in Tokyo I believe is the name

  • you all have to realize, you don't want toonami on cartoon network right now. They would ruin it. What we want is toonami to have there own channel. With all the original people on it.

  • yah i concur. Good thinking friend.

  • :x I just want toonami too live again

  • We all do. Put we must learn to let the past live in its proper place and push on to a better tommorrow

  • I know... If it came back now adays it would be destroyed and desecrated... :[

  • @bravocmdr

True. I could JUST see TOM 4 or someone alot worse than him screwing around. It's already bad enough it's a televisual Twilight Zone in our eyes and ears since mid 2005. 2006 became the beginning of a horror flick we're still seeing now to this day..........

  • go to the petition site!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped watching cn after they got rid of toonami and put in that godawful miguzi!

  • wheres the petition site?

  • it was still on they only stopped showing it last year

  • "You gonna just keep running away?!"

    "...Just kee runing away?"

    "...Im not running.."

Outlaw star was the best anime ever!

    I used to love it!

  • that line and this promo made me decide to finally check it out. One of the greatest series I've seen.

  • Just speechless...

  • In the Toonami farewell, Tom talks about how they gave us good memories. They must have known that we loved their stuff, but they still cut it. Sucks...

  • Before i die i'd like to see this one more time. It would make all my time spent in this world all the more meaningful and worthy.

  • This was cool i'm glad i could find it after so many years of it not being on anymore

  • im also 22 time is not a bitch its a cruel whore

  • truth

  • 17 and i agree toataly

  • I So Miss Toonami

the good old days where the best shows were shown T.T why did they stop it?!

  • Money. That's all it is. CN was awesome, but Nickolodeon made more money. CN wanted to be like Nick.

They wanted to have their Nicktoons, their Spongebob. Their big money makers. But all their hit shows were from other studios. Bandai and Hasbro made billions off CN's marketing of their products.

They got rid of them in hopes of being like Nick and making original media, and never talking of the golden era of Toonami, ever again.

When dreams are involved, money is usually never too far off.

  • 19 years old and time is indeed a bitch

  • im 22yrs old . time is a bitch...

  • Indeed.

  • I LOVE THIS!!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • So many good memories. God I miss this kind of tv.

  • I forgot about Toonami. Lots of memories all of a sudden...

  • does anybody know how to download this video? please

  • If you use fire fox, you can use the download

Video DownloadHelper 4.4.1 it is a plugin extention

  • Go to keepvid(dot)com and type in the url. It does the rest.

  • I was like 11 when Toonami was at its peak. Great shows like Gundam, DBZ, Outlaw Star, Batman Beyond and much more. Man, do I miss it.

  • yup thats why i love that time of my life

  • we will never forget

     9-20-08

    bang.

  • I was like in elementary school when toonami came out !!! This brings back so many memories ^_^ !!! Good times ^_^ !!! I wish they good bring back the old Toonami when it was still good I mean ^_^ !!!

  • These were the days

  • "you just gonna keep runnin away!"

    "Just keep runnin away?"

    (big ass pause)

    i loved that part!

    "I'm not running"

  • Hey not to pry at you but could you prehaps give me the name of that anime?

  • Outlaw Star.

  • they should have like one day of toonami an all day marathon of all the best shows of toonami...

  • In their effort to wipe out anything left with the name Toonami; the powers that be at Cartoon Network have pulled the plug on Toonami Jetstream. Toonami's spirit cannot be erased so easily

  • It's great how 1 thing reached out to all of us and gave us something in common. Sad to see the things that made us great not be around anymore

  • i wish they would bring toonami back as well i grew up with it and practically everyone i know watched it as well. At least back then there were shows with a story or some hidden meaning that was told in an awesome way....now....they have droppped to the lowest forms of entertainment for kids i mean just turn there and see if you dont agree. cartoon reality shows. enough said.

  • This was it. This defines Toonami for me.

  • Believe in yourself and create your own destiny dont fear failure. I have lived by those words ever since I heard this as a boy. Toonami help me become the man I am today

  • ;_;

  • Those were the days. Before toonami was crap and before it was canceled. I still remember coming home after school and waiting for toonami to start. Kids today won't be able to experience how wonderful it use to be, now that it's gone. Today CN isn't what it use to be with it's crappy choice of lineups. Kids won't be able to say "Oh, I can't wait to get home to watch the next episode of Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, Samurai X, or Dragon Balls!" *Sigh* I sure miss the good old days...

  • Best Commercial. Ever.

  • good times. too bad its not like that today.

  • I can name all these shows nigga

What a blast to the past for real

Ha i think that CN should at least realease a dvd or something with a few episodes from the best toonami shows

At least theyd make money off it

  • Back before 4kids began and before toonami sucked

  • Total trip down memory lane!

  • Aye...

    I hate CN.

  • I remember this video from when I watched it on toonami. Its because of this video that inspired me to follow my dream of becoming a pro gamer. :)

  • thank you for posting this. i've been looking... for memories as these.

  • I miss this stuff more and more every time i see this.

  • shit im 22 and this stuf was the best back then it really did shape the person i am today and reminds me why i built such a love for anime...respect, honor, truth, love, something that was so scarce when you were growing up

  • That's kinda sad.

  • At first I thought you were being sarcastic, saying it's sad that anime reminded him of such things. I thought you were insulting him, but I realize that you're agreeing with him and it made me think...

...go ahead and casually talk to anyone, freely about respect, honor, truth and love... people assume it's just there. A concept that exists but not something they always have to share, to see or feel...

The truth is that people stopped looking at those as principles, and they become dust.

  • Righteous interpretation. And yes, I agree.

  • lolsz XD

    thats just sad

  • i was only 3 when toonami came out but i remember watching everything from sailor moon and cardcaptors to gundam and yu yu hakashow ...good times

  • wow you're really young.

same here though, very good times

  • All those in favor of requesting a Toonami network hosted by any other tom than the 4th respond with an 'aye'!

  • aye!

  • AYE!

  • AYE!!!!!

  • AYE MUTHF**KER!

  • a to the fuckin ye

  • AYE!!!!!!!

  • that shit really clears your mind.

  • One day toonami will return and I'll be there to see it. Untill then I live my life fallowing my dreams. That is what I learned from toonami.

  • a boy has the right to dream

  • its a shame good things never last forever

  • yeah man im 19 years old now and i still wish the old toonami were on during the late day and the midnight run, damn, i loved it

  • yeha im 16 and i wish that the old toonami will just come on for at least a week

  • Fifteen here. I was four when it came out. I've been watching it all since then. Cleared your head after school, got you in a good mood, kept you up late, and introduced us to the best anime on the planet. I wish they made it their own channel or something, not just ditch it like Cartoon Network did. It deserved better. But, hey, soon enough they'll notice their ratings are under half without Toonami and will bring it back, if this new generation has a brain to watch more than mindless cartoons.

  • yea i completely stoped watching cartoon network after toonami was gone, man i miss toonami, right after school i would buy some snacks then sit down and watch toonami...man those were the days...now i just get to watch the line up on adult swim on saturdays...some one should revive toonami but not on cartoon network...

  • I remmember this .good times! Now CN sucks! I miss all the COOL shows before the crap came in! The OLD toonami rules!!

  • Damn man, I remember when they used to run this promo around midnight. For some reason I always stayed and watched it from beginning to end.

  • Dbz and Tenchi Muyo was the shit

Now they got shows for retards Total drama island,Chowder, chop socky, and skunk fu really???????????????????????????? that shit sucks

I still fucks with naruto, shin chan, and Home movies though.

Oh yea bring tokyo pig back to television I know that has nothing to do with toonami but that show was awesome!
