@Rapper3608 Well all the programs you talk about has to render, do does CryEngine, but that happens on your graphic card, via DirectX 11... Thats the difference... If the programs is setup right, and you use same qualty models, 3DS Max and Maya would render fast too...

And last... you can't compare either of these programs to a game engine... thumb down...

And if I got a really high end graphics card and a 1 terabyte memory think and attached it by USB to my computer, would that bump me up to a gaming computer? I want to actually make a game and I want to supe my computer up for that.

Dude I've sat here all day trying to find a tutorials and the answer for/on how to get my cryengine to not lag and have such slow frame rates, and I said the heck with it since I couldn't find it, and started on how to design a level so I saw your video, and.... I just happened to find out how to make it lag less from it at 0:40 thanks man! I just set it to low, it doesn't have the real time rendering on (water moving and such) but I can live without that for now :D thanks man!

@ZoNKeDcoCtAiL If you use CryEngine 3 SDK you must login everytime you start the SDK. If you use CryMod you don't have to login, but with CryMod you only can create mods for Crysis 2 and with the SDK you can create a game (FPS, MMORPG, etc).

I recently got Crysis 2 on CD for PC. I tried to use the editor, but when I used the File-New, it said that access was "denied" even though I am the admin on my computer. A similar problem occurred with generate all AI and generate surface texture.

To everyone having a different editor make sure you downloaded the crysis 2 mod sdk, not cryengine 3 itself. This is the mod sdk. Has the editor and everything. Also make sure to run the application you right click run as administrator. This should help most of those, like me, was wondering what was going on with the differences.
