  • an nice video of biogas producer, but, if it in more better (realistic) configuration in the real site, maybe it would very useful and informative, it's showing the system that doesn't need any mechanical equipment, everything is automatic, including how the digested material come out.

  • Bio

  • I'm trying to construct a biogas plant at home for a research experiment. what kind of material can I use for the digester? Does the set-up reQuire a pump?

  • I may call it "shit gas". The methane is for hot water and cooking.

In China, counrty people used this method for a long time, and is still being used. This is because the pipe line is too long to be constructed.

  • You could have a more Active Digester Tank

The bacteria produce a compatible bio electrolyte chemicals Couple of plates in the Digester will turn it into a Bio Battery that you could run a DC to AC Inverter to create mains power.

This way your Creating Power As well as a GAS

  • Your kidding Right! Appears it's not profitable enough to cover the costs of usign audio in your video. How long does this take to convert a batch of MSW into Biogas? How much sorting needs to be done at a high risk of injury by uneducated workers who are just looking for a workman's comp or disability claim? Doesn't look like a solution from my seat, more like a liability.

  • I'm also working on a similar project " How to convert shit into healthy food for the poor" But I'm not going to tell them and educate them about family planning and population problem.

  • I haven't yet learned how to determine when the slurry is ready to be released. anyone got ideas?

  • @mojokiss basically, there's a finite amount of methane that will be produced, mostly when methane production drops below 5%, you'll know that it's ready to be expunged. There are tables of amont of methane per whatever unit you use of waste material.

  • @amaroq69 thanks for the reply! i guess its one of those things where its time for me to dig into the details and read

  • EVERYONE GOOGLE"INCREASING HUMAN ENERGY"BY NIKOLA TESLA!he gives all of the energy resources that you can use without ruining the environment and how to build them! he wrote this article for people who care like you greenpeace! this was 100 yrs ago! the wireless power tower sends a form or radiowave that allows for industrial running of machinery and emits no pollution!please i put up a ton of information to show that it works, i also demonstrate a 20 ft wireless transmission with a small model!

  • @boxa888 i know man. Nikola Tesla, he's the best!

  • @ParapaDrifter No! Tesla is an evil dude just like all the rest as he didn't release all his info to the public/people and now the good stuff is lost (or in gov files). Imagine the world we would have if he had written several books on how to do it all. Instead we live in a wage slave pollute-topia.

  • @boxa888 He doesn't show how to make the wireless power transmitter or they would have been duplicated all over the world. Imagine a power tower that takes the earths magnetic field frequency and converts it to electric power. Where did Tesla teach you to do this? This is why his funding was cut and his lab burned down.

A world with Fuel less and pollution free energy. Notice I NEVER said free energy. No energy is FREE! You always have to PAY for the energy collecting and transmitting machine,

  • @astrialkil nope,it is all there, plain and clear. that is why i had sucessful demonstations, there are tons of tesla written books.

  • @boxa888 were these demonstrators table top models or real transmitters that broadcast for miles?

  • questions: How much time does it take to the fed in the digester tank to make the gas? and how much time does it take to the gas to dry and be ready in the biogas store?

  • Thanks so much! UncleKennyBobs

  • Thanks so much!

  • Does anyone know a low tech, sustainable way in converting human waste into biogas without the use of electricity??

    Thanks!!

  • @MTERM775 Did you fail to watch the video?

  • @UncleKennybobs Yes, I did watch the video. But I want something thats more low-tech and sustainable. Something that can be made from Jute and other sustainable materials.

  • That was really useful and informative. Short 'n snappy!

  • You know in order to make it work better, you'd want a dehumidifier to remove water vapor, you could use the water to water vegtables.

  • 5 stars .. any free plans how to build one ... my granpats have a farm ... thx in advence

  • search methane on youtube and you'll find quite a few do it yourselfers. One small time farmer was simply using two interlocking drums with liquified cow shit in the bottom and with the top one just floating so that as the bacteria worked the gas pressure would raise it up.

  • thx for your time..

  • I wanna make a small system like this.

Which could like collect all the poo and organic waste from the house into a digester, producing methane which could burn the boiler or maybe even a electricity generator and the compost could be used to grow potatoes and carrots!

All in the backyard in a self-sustaining kinda way.

Maybe later expand it to a bigger set up collecting organic waste from the local farms to produce methane and compost...

  • It's dangerous using human waste as fertilizer as harmful bacteria in your body can get into the food that you eat. Either directly or as feed for meat animals. There's damn good reason why city governments have sewage treatment plants.

HOWEVER, if you used human waste for plants that will be turned into biofuel, then you're onto a winner! Just make sure it can't get into the ecosystem (water runoff etc).

  • I don't think anyones suggesting using raw sewage, thats just ridiculous. After the fermentation process however it is safe to use. The bacteria in our body aren't adapted to these environments and they are supplanted by other microbes. I myself have eaten from a garden powered by composted human waste. Hell, I even ate the carrots ; )

  • I wouldn't. I wouldn't trust it unless it had been distilled, or otherwise been made damn certain not to still have any harmfull human bacteria. As I said, I'd still use it, but for something that is not going to be in the food chain, like growing peanuts to make biodiesil.

  • if u make compost from rotten raw meat - and u use it in the garden, its not like youre eating the rotten raw meat... ur forgetting the microbial part of the food chain

  • @taitungknight Its better to make the Human matter inert by thermophillic composting , all parasites and pathogens are destroyed. You are left with basically highly enriched nutrient soil after 1 year.

  • thanks...your movie is very good

  • Hi, Can human waste alone be used in the digester tank, if not what are the other things that can be added.

  • cow dung, mainly

  • Ukraine, after Russia's gas tricks decided to implement biogas technology asap. The guys like ZORG Biogas are now quite prospective to invest in )

  • Sewer can be used like this one right? I mean imagine for example the US will implement this technology in sewer and waste water plant. The amount of energy we save will be so significant, that our dependent in coal and natural gas is minimized. Thus stretching our energy resource and consumption.

  • Better to process it for motor vehicles.

  • Like in the movie back to the future. Good idea!

  • I want to use biogas for my home and I have cows and LOTS of cow manure.

  • My daughter is doing a Biogas project. She is 12. She and I both want to know what software you used to do your video?

  • It was made in an animation programme called Flash 8, which is sadly not the easiest software to use if you're new to the process. An easier way to do something similar would be to use a Powerpoint slideshow, then add some small animated elements (such as bubbling gases, say) using animated GIFs in Image Ready, the animation software which comes with Adobe Photoshop. Hope this helps, and good luck with the project!

  • @DukeDoctor Just to add to GreenpeaceUK's message... you don't have to buy Microsoft Office to do all that, you can use Open Office which will do the same thing and is completely free.

  • well that video can use some music but the discription was great

  • er no, actually it's a gas - hence the name biogas.

  • @GreenpeaceUK Resolving nomenclature for a basic phase change with common terminology in a way that DOESN'T make you look dumber than the person you are trying to correct is the challenge of every scientist. What good are these discoveries if they can't be effectively communicated and shared. God I hate trolls. Nice vid! Proliferate it!

  • @pfzht OK ILL BITE VERBOSITY, REDUNDANCY, TONE APPERANT BUT NOT ACTUAL NONSEQITER= PEDANTIC IS A CHALLENGE NOT THE CHALLENGE.

EMOTIONAL REFERENCE. POLITICAL POSITION. TALKING ABOUT NEW PRACTICES IS OFTEN MET WITH SKEPTISISM OR FLAT OUT RESISTANCE. WHILE MOST PEOPLE FORM AN OPINION ABOUT THEESE THINGS IT IS IMPORTANT FOR US TO TO REMEBER THAT IT IS THE OPINION OF THOSE ACTUALLY IMPLEMENTING A PARTICULAR PRACTICE THAT REALLY MATTERS,

NUETRAL TONE + ACTIVE VOICE= PROFESIONAL

  • @bryncomeaux PLEAS IMAGINEER CORRECT SPELLING PUNCTUATION AND AND CHARACHTER SPELLING AS I DONT CAR TO USE THEM HERE IT MAKES MY BRAIN HURT AND I MIGHT HAVE TO GET OFF THE COUCH

  • @bryncomeaux Dear Capslock Journalist, touche.

  • so bio gas is not a liquid?
