in cricket world there are some players who are good, some great, and some legendry. truly shane bond was an epic bowler. i loved his action, his aggression, his impact on the game. when he used to play he gave everything. now he is retired i really miss him play so sometimes i watch his clip on youtube.
He has a great open-chested action waist-up, but he twists his lower back and legs way too much. Think that's why he had so many injuries. Shame...One of the best of our times

Or he runs (still not too sure about this part) to the opposite wicket, but before he makes it, someone knocks off a bail with the ball.
nah there's no strikes, if it hits the stumps when it's bowled to you you're out. a batsman CAN retire if they want, but they generally don't and make as many runs as they can, if it is caught on the full he is out, and a run is scored by running to the crease at the other end, and yes, if the bails are dislodged before he gets there he is out. Also if you get hit on the body (typically legs) infront of the stumps you'll be out too.

Shane Bond bowls very quick. He bowls in the mid to late 140s km/ph on slow damp new zealand wickets and showed how devastating he was in Aus 02/03 VB series and in world cup 03 SA. bowling well i the 150s km/ph on their hard dry wickets while swinging the ball as effectivley as most competant medium pacers. He's a gem in world cricket. Great to see him back in the ODI side
first, lee isn't always over 150 and he was terribly inconsistent and is very overrated, bond is by far a more superior bowler - it's not just about speed.
he went to the icl for the money only cause of the all the injurys he's had if he just played for NZ as well as county cricket he wouldn't be set up financialy once he retires.
hes fantastic bowler and from what i hear the IPL or ICL stole him out of the international league.... now i think he probably should have kept playing for his nation, hes like one of the rare bowlers they had.

Basically the Indian Cricket Board blackmailed every single cricket board in the world and said if any of your players play in the ICL, then we'll screw you financially. This essentially meant banning every ICL player from playing for their country...

When NZC realised the ICB would punish them for allowing Bond to play in the ICL, they asked Bond to instead join the IPL. Bond said no, because the ICL had been really good to him. Basically, Bond has been exiled. I think this is how it went. Someone may wish to elaborate.

Basically the Indian Cricket Board blackmailed every single cricket board in the world and said if any of your players play in the ICL, then we'll screw you financially. This essentially meant banning every ICL player from playing for their country...

...Before the ICB made these intentions known, Bond signed with the ICL with the blessing of NZ cricket. When NZC realised the ICB would punish them for allowing Bond to play in the ICL, they asked Bond to instead join the IPL. Bond said no, because the ICL had been really good to him. Basically, Bond has been exiled. I think this is how it went. Someone may wish to elaborate.

New Zealand, England, Australia, Pakistan, West Indies cricket boards don't give a toss if he plays in the ICl it's the Indian cricket board that want everything their own way and will threaten other countries if they don't.
