You sound like a pretentious fanboy. I liked sublime shit I played in like 4 different ska bands and opened for some of the bigger name ska bands in the 90's I love ska but I'm objective enough to know that it has and simple format and a parochial sound and if you think a ska band changed you're life you smoked way to much pot.

I think you are right. Also my voice is a lot lower so I need to lower songs to sound like i'm not stretching...

The key of E is really a key for guitars. Piano players really like the key of C :)

Yes, You are correct. The key signature of E has no flats in it. And that is very good that you transposed it. I was just telling you that you should teach people how to transpose from C to E.

And also, A very nice tutorial!

Your wrong. The chords are off. If you listen the chords are E, Ab, Db, and B for the verse and A, B, E, and Db for the Chorus.

This could be a good lesson for transposing the left hand to new chords with the same pattern. Maybe you could make a new video with the right chords and give a lesson on that.

Dear Vbs,

Here is how I learned Santeria. I transcribed it from the recording. Then I tried singing along. I realized it would sound bad if I tried to sing it that high.

My voice is much lower. So I transposed it down to the key of C, also an easy key to play in on piano.

You are correct the original key is E, like most guitar songs. In the key of E, technically the chords are E, G#, C# and B because the key of E has no flats in it.

This video is a lesson on playing and singing for guys.

arpeggios are a technique exercise that require some practice each day - maybe 2-10min

To play arpeggios fast:

- you should use a good fingering, 123 fingers.

- play each chord slowly at first maybe 25 times in 2 octaves, up and down.

***if you do the slow practice, you've laid the ground work for playing fast and speed becomes easier! Good technique takes patience. Id start with practicing the C, E, Am, G arpeggios because those are used in this song.
