This guy is awesome!  I have been searching the sea of banality that is the UK comedy scene for a Hicks/Carlin comedy style for a long long time. And I have struck gold!

How long has he been around?

@james50000 carlin is so overated. Hicks, Newman, Stanhope end their observations with beautifully crafted lines, Carlin has much less in the way of writing talent, that's what we excel at. US comedy is way behind the UK. try Stewart Lee for starters.

@pamlawrence1 hicks is american xD he was more famous in britain cuz the americans wern't comfortable with his material but he was born and raised in the south of the us i do prefere british comedians usualy but come on carlin's good hicks loved carlin n there're other good american comedians like david cross etc.

im with him on a lot of stuff. but the empire was in its inception i think a reaction to the ottamans. so it is more a case of "would you have preffered the turkish or us" i think..
