  • This IS STAGED! Check out the beginning when the guy with the eyehlasses points to the camera and then to the police and then the main police man sais: "Ready? here it comes" Its a fake staged beating, it was exposed by Ed Chiarini.

  • We have no right to say anything to China about human rights.

  • wtf?!?!?!?!

  • I like how at 0:56 they beat a girl to the ground and a guy tries to help her and they beat him as well. I don't know who the fuck cops think they are or what their jobs are. They are supposed to protect the people. Stuff like this makes truly makes me sick.

  • why the fuck are those students blocking! idiot punk kids. they deserved it. HEY BUDDY where is the rest of the video, O let me guess you started filming after the crowd did something wrong. This is why noone cares. Bias- ass footage.

  • Looks to me like the police were attacked with words and loudness! lol

Police brutality has become the norm, I guess they think they are part of the 1% wait until they get their pensions raided...

either way, there is always someone willing to sell out to the corrupt for their empty promises.

  • COWARDLY PIGS! UTTER COWARDS IN UNIFORM! SHAMEFUL!!

  • The roar of the students voices at the end "STOP BEATING STUDENTS" gave me the chills! Police brutallity MUST STOP.

  • Thank God for video cameras. This should not be tollerated

  • Stop going to college. In the New World Order your degree is useless. We are in the Zionist run New World Order. Boycott College. Getting in more student loan debt and making universities richer is NOT the answer. For now, there is no answer. STOP GOING TO COLLEGE!! LEARN A SKILL ON YOUR OWN!!

  • @hipporainbow48 sorry, but even in the 'zionist run nwo', there will be a demand for skilled engineers, chemists, electricians, etc.

they won't hire you if you "learned it on your own", you'll end up worse than these kids with their arts history degrees.

  • why didnt these bunches of kids beat the police up instead of screaming! damn man!

  • Its funny how people are bitching about this, does anyone remember the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT that was brutal police behavior, not this.

  • @Letshavesomefun33 You are acting as if a worse act in the past justifies this video; I somewhat doubt that it's your full intention. That was an unprovoked attack by the police officer, and he should pay the price for it. If you can't keep it in the pants, then you have no business entering strip clubs, so to speak.

  • Thats why people are taking photos of these cops in action. There was no reason for the officer to repeatedly injure these kids. When he stopped with one he started on another. I hope they have plastered his face all over the internet. Activist cops have no place in American society.

  • You know kids, there are easier, and more effective ways, to send a message to the powers that be that don't involve getting (rightfully) clubbed by the police. Work with registered voters to vote in people that want to see change in one of the most corrupt governments on earth. use social media to spread a message that opens peoples eyes to whats is happened in congress. Use your fucking brains. Camping out and 'occupying' derelict buildings attracts the wrong type of attention, and people.

  • my blood is boiling

  • Thank you to all of the protesters out that day, stay strong

  • UC Berkeley Chancellor Birgeneau’s campus police report to the Chancellor and the campus police take direction from the Chancellor. University of California (UC) campus chancellors vet their campus police protocols. Birgeneau allowed pepper spray and the use of batons on students in his campus police protocols.

Chancellor Robert J Birgeneau must be fired for the brutal outrages on students protesting Birgeneau’s tuition increases.

  • You are all missing what happened at the start, The protesters did nothing, They where just standing there and are being beaten. Protesting is not against the law, And standing still is not enough of a reason to use force like this.

  • lol, each time they chanted "stop beating students" the cops shoulda've chanted back "then stop coming towards us!"

  • 0:52 kid reaches for the cops baton than bitches when they smack his hand. common sense: don't keep going closer, the cops wern't moving they just standing there letting them protest and they kept coming towards the cops. plus u never reach for an officers weapon, u'd think most people would know that naturally...

  • Idea: Don't want to get hit? Don't move closer. It's not rocket science.

  • Go POLICE!

  • Holy crap. Amazing this sort of shit is still going on. You could see that the cops realized they had fucked up at a certain point. LOL

  • WAHH MY HAND!!! Shut up and clear a way for students that want to do actual intellectual work. Reality check, by behaving this way you aren't changing the system, you are just making life harder for other regular people. Crowding normal buildings and blocking shipping ports is cutting off the nose to spite the face.

  • @MadPutz Oh shut up and look up Cal Berkeley protest 1969. You tell me again that protesting doesnt work eh? Civil rights movement didnt work right? How about the Anti-Vietnam war protest in the 70s? Oh yeah, that too didnt work. Im gonna take your advice, since you seem so smart. Im gonna go home and pretend EVERYTHING is ok. Instead of getting my voice heard along with everyone els. You my friend, are a brainwashed sheeple, taught to obey and watch tv.

  • @mattdogggg The cause ought to be right. There have been plenty of demonstrations all over the world, in history, that changed things for the worse. Not just the best. Some folks have stupid opinions.

  • @MadPutz Ur an idiot madputz these ppl are angry with home the worldis going and they want to make a change and our "Wonderful" police are corrupt and are beating them, how is that fair so shut upo

  • damn...

  • Why does the homie in glasses and a gray sweatshirt linking arms point up to the camera in the beginning? Is it staged?

  • @JSather7 hes showing the police that this will go global he wants to show the polie that they cant hurt them without being hated its a smartmove

  • These scumbags/douchebags should ALL be deported. LOL scumbags

  • If you don't like it here then go to another country.

  • @fuxgood Are you suggesting that if there are things wrong with this country, the American thing to do is to run away?

  • @3314adam The American thing to do is to vote and use the system against itself to achieve your goals. Fighting and bickering with each other accomplishes nothing. Working together gets things done.

Check out Canned Heat, Lets Work Together. Lots of meaning in those lyrics.

  • @fuxgood I agree with you, and I think working together is the point. Protests are a legitimate form of civil disobedience. They show solidarity. Looking at masses of people rallied is different from looking at a statistic. The masses can show that a statistic is wrong. This is important, because no longer can anybody lie to you and say people aren't effected, and that nobody cares. It is a push back to social system that dominates through atomization. This is good.

  • @3314adam Ran out of letters...anyway, become a lawyer, politician, congressman, senator, what have you, then stay away from greed, stay honest and make the changes yourself.Greed is the factor that has brought this country to its knees and where there's greed there WILL be dishonesty. I've made a fine living by working without greed and staying honest.A simple thing really.Takes long hours and hard work but so what. The feeling of achievement. Nothing like it.

  • @fuxgood I emphatically agree with you on every point except that I support protesting injustices. We are social creatures, this is a good development. The reason there are so many different messages, a tower of babel if you will, is because anybody can go to a protest with a message. Some people are there because they understand, others because they have been victimized, some people don't seem to know why they are there. Its a mixed bag, but its very healthy for people to get together

  • @fuxgood I am with you for working hard and making something you are proud of, that gives you a sense of accomplishment and can earn you a living. I see no conflict with making society more just and living a purposeful creative life.

  • @fuxgood That said, you absolutely have to learn whats going on in order to make sustainable change, including the way the system works. No doubt. Once again, I emphatically agree with you, and in this sense you critique.

  • @fuxgood I don't know why people still make this argument. I suppose that if my neighborhood is overrun by armed thugs then I should just leave, right? That's the mentality you have. No matter what happens, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT BITCH.

  • @slyalex I make this point, not argument, because the people of this country have the right not only to free speech, but because we can change the way things are but it has to be done with a plan and in an orderly fashion. Try that in many other countries and you'll come back with your tail between your legs. We also have the right to bear arms which takes care of your thugs analogy.Nothing wrong with peaceful protests but when protesters start disobeying police orders shit will fly.DUH

  • Stop being stupid.

  • keeping citizens complacent with fast food, clean water, internet access, tv, cell phones, homes, malls&other "essentials" & you can treat them like the sheep they are. Start taking away their toys & they become agitated, start abusing them & they get the idea to rebel, begin to take away the real essentials like food, water & homes then they finally have nothing left to lose so they STRIKE back.. However, Not til we begin disappearing& dying will we THEN have civil war.Now is a battle of wills.

  • What was the police objective here? I see attacks by the "law" and no attempts to arrest. If they aren't doing anything arrestable at the time, then why are assault charges not levied against these officers?

  • I'm honestly looking forward to the next American civil war, if only because a lot of police officers in that country is in dire need of killing. That is no way to treat people.

  • LOL and what are the goals of other occupy movements? LOL what a childish douche

  • These marxish, communist scumbags should be deported. Every last worthless, childish, lazy, dishonest, imbecilic, motherfuckin' one should be deported. LOL

  • @malithe00 I suppose then that that you have no problem with what you see. Would you mind if it was you? What about if a family member standing in peaceful protest got jabbed with batons. Or is it only ok when its not you?

  • @malithe00 troll

  • @latex, you're a dick-lickin' scumbag, like your mother. LOL

  • USA is in the shit hole, not coming out anytime soon. London looks lice this time of year. The land of the free are not free. We're sold out

  • @JenX206 Not very disciplined lol.

  • I love hippie beating, brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

  • @agent4051 do u even know what the fuck a hippie is dont talk shit

  • @cheeseProductions11 A hippie is someone who seeks to free themselves from societal restrictions, choose their own way, and find new meaning in life. They usually demonstrate this through their appearance, their willingness to question authority, and by distancing themselves from the norms of society.

  • Please wake up ...Occupy Music 99%

  • Truth is on the side of the oppressed.

    Malcolm X

  • @cortem762 You must have an interesting definition for "successful" if it includes people born to rich parents and those who produce nothing but manage hedge funds or bet on bad loans, ruin the economy, get a government handout (other peoples' money. Socialism, right?), take more government money, lend it BACK to us at insane interest, and buy off politicians to push the burden of cleaning up their mess onto us, as well as paying no taxes.

Guess you like socialism, too, but only for big banks.

  • "Smither's, release the hounds."

  • so if you have issues with your temper, become a police and you get to beat up people at will

  • I remember when the illegal immigrants protested in downtown L.A. the police got a little rough with them and the police got sued.

  • Comment removed

  • Instead of chanting the words "stop beating students" at the Police who are engaged in unlawful acts.

Hows about reminding the Police that THEY are OUR servants, paid to PROTECT us as human beings?

If they fail in their duty and instead start to break the Law,we as citizens have the right to arrest them in order to protect ourselves.

  • @nikamota so the police are also the servants of the criminals they arrest and should let them go? The kids blocks the police in and the police reacted, it is really a very simple equation, the students couldn't let the police go as they would not have been able to stand 'against the man' if they did.

  • Watch "Fight For Ya Right" by Doodlebug of Digable Planets filmed at Zuccotti Park #OWS on my youtube channel. PEace

  • The polite non-violent non-compliance of the youth outnumber these order taking officers of laws made by machine minds. You cannot fight violence with violence. You cannot go to war for peace. You must be peace for peace. They don't know a thing about peace, they have never in history had to fight peace. They don't know what to do and this leads to fear and this leads to usually an outburst of violence that is the natural reaction. We have to act, not react for real change. History has been rep

  • This proves there is no human rights within the USA. What these police officers are carrying out is an unproveked assualt on unarmed American people. Why arn't they arested and charged. If you attempt to defend yourself, like they SAY, the troops are doing on the middle east, your a criminal, and sent to prison. THEY ARE TREATING PEOPLE WORSE THAN ANIMALS. it's 1984 here and now...

  • Please don't allow cops to beat your sons & daughters without me and others like me there with our rifles. Cops will be dying soon enough. This should infuriate every parent, especially those of us with kids in college. Damn the military industrial complex and central banking mafia!

  • I wonder how much longer the crowds can take this kind of abuse before they start to react. Don't react. It's what they want.

  • Starts hitting a women, how courageous.

  • Can you beat these hippies more often please? It makes me happy.

  • what the hell is wrong with the democracy? fuck the ss ultra-violent police! shame on america!

  • To all the ignorant posters, you just look ignorant. Nothing to be proud.

  • go home your not accomplishing anything.

  • When individuals protest against injustices & the powers of Govt answer is only force. Then the act of protest itself is proven justified.

  • Stop Eating Students!

  • How long until it's acceptable for us to use the same tactics against the police? They seem to love showing us again and again that they have no problem attacking unprovoked. I wonder if they would be so willing to attack us when we are armed to protect our self's rather then unarmed. If they choose to bring riot weaponry to peaceful demonstrations we should be allowed to do the same.

  • Soon, people will deny that they went to college in order to get a good job.

  • @malithe00 final a doctor or engineer who didnt go to college then

  • @DaytonaRoadkill, you're a douche. I don't need to "final" a doctor or engineer, you douchebag LOL

  • Rocky Anderson, former Democratic Mayor of Salt Lake City, will run on a 3rd Justice Party ticket -- working to lessen the income disparity in the country.

Buddy Roemer, former Republican Governor of Louisana, may also run on a 3rd Party ticket.

I hope the 99% will get behind a 3rd party ticket -- one working to lessen the income disparity

  • apparently the people who get paid from OUR taxes are wiping there asses with the Constitution, God Bless America and I mean it, with this behavior our country wont get far

  • You're a bunch of hippie cry babies.

  • @ChrisPenta Communism didn't do that; radical leaders did. I'm not advocating it; just letting you know that the 'C' word doesn't invoke fear like it used to. Communism: 11% Congress: 9%

  • @ChromeChild32 It should!! Communist governments killed over 150 MILLION people. Communism is a failed social experiment, every form ever tried failed miserably. A wise man once said of communism "great idea, wrong species".

  • Man! These cops were billy clubbing them for no reason. Cops stand down! Let them express themselves. We have the right of Free speech.Remember something called the Constitution?

This is gone on for about 25 years too long.we just let it get more and more out of control. Politicians did not do what they were put in office to do.

They let us down big time. People in my apartment are leaving 2 or 3 vacancies every month. Why,they cannot afford it. Who owns the building,Middle Eastern people.

  • We are the people in the front line, and I have a video on this channel from the inside of the line of the police beating us up....tearing our clothes please watch it...the UCPD just issued an open letter condemning our actions as VIOLENT

  • Who cares about anything this "movement" does? They are the biggest frauds in history. If they were genuine they'd be gathering outside of Obama's White House---where the buck is supposed to stop, but doesn't, because one of the biggest corporate STOOGES in the world is occupying it.

  • True meaning of capitalism: "If I can swindle, I MUST swindle!"

  • @Domanihatu what has capitalism to do with this? correct, nothing.

  • this is stupid, people really united in comunities in mexico are trowing out the policeman with their own power and unity, not just reciving punches like this retards, poeple pleas, take action! more action than just standing like hippies!, chec in my favorites for the video of the comunity im saying.

  • Occutards.

  • That night stick to the woman's abdomen was definitely wrong!!! That was police brutality..and nothing to do with professionalism!

  • Since when did people decide to fight against banks? Banks have always pulled the strings, but why protest now? Here's the deal, if you hate banks s much, don;t use them. People only use them because they have no money and want to borrow other people's money. As far as police being abusive, the protesters instigate the whole thing to video tape it.

  • @pigjubby1 The problem with that is that it's nearly almost impossible to pay your bills unless you have a bank account. And no, Banks DON'T pull all the strings if you don't let them. Look at Bank of America. They were going to put a fee on using your debit card after working for year to get their members to used them. Due to the huge outcry from everyone banking there, they decided to scrap the idea.

  • Then don't use Bank of America. Keep the money in your own personal safe. No one is forced to use banks.

Take your money and put it where you want. Look, when you borrow other people's money and use their storage facilities for your money, guess what? It costs money. Life is not free.

  • @pigjubby1 Banks aren't just for borrowing money lol.....

  • Then it is obvious you know what else they do. Why then, are you surprised?

  • @pigjubby1 I didn't do an :O face.

  • @jamesstei1853

No. It's not earphones. You see, one of the pigs has his hoof on top of his head. The moment he puts it down, they begin acting like baboons.

  • Its funny cause the OWS people stand there and bitch about not getting free money while those cops work their asses off to make very little. While what the officer did was wrong, and quite frankly, from a law enforcement standpoint, stupid, its really kinda dumb to ridicule him for a mistake. All he was doing was his job.

  • @mtndewmurderer A police officer's job is to maintain peace. This video clearly shows a police officer creating chaos. He was not doing his job at all.

  • A police officer's job is to enforce the law. If the law is unjust, then the law must change. Know the law before you engage in stupidity.

  • @mtndewmurderer HAHAHA his job? you must be a lil piggy too! One cop beats a dude while hes on the ground he's obviously non -threatening. ... And bitching about free money? where do you get your news/propaganda from? do some research and quit being spoon-fed your information. i am amazed at peoples ignorance on this issue. Do people really want to keep getting F'ed in the arse by big banker while capitol hill turns a blind eye and line they're pockets?

  • @mtndewmurderer Right, I mean, who wouldn't bash an unarmed, 18 year old hipster in the ribs with a billy club, right?

  • If this was someones parent hitting them like this it would be child abuse!

  • STAY NON-VIOLENT STUDENTS for now....give them a chance to make corrections

  • Bunch of fucking ignorant idiots calling them hippies when they're the only people with the courage to fight for our future. STOP THE IGNORANCE

  • @antony1278 Its actually these so called courageous people who will be the cause of this countries demise. Again, lazy people that will not grow up. How is provoking police officers a benefit to their imaginary cause? The world they want in unsustainable. A society cannot exist without those who succeed through ambition. Whereas fairness is not achieved by giving to those choose who have no ambition. STOP THE IGNORANCE!

  • @Ultra68 no ambition??? those are students paying for an education. what they have learned is that corporations and banks have bought our government while morons like you sit back and vote for it. if practicing the first amendment is provoking police officers... this country is way of course. just sit there lemming, while we worry about these things.

  • @hitchains I did not vote for this (Obama). Perhaps you did? This shows how simple your mind is. You assume these are all students and pay thier own tuition. They did not learn how to protest in a civilized manner. You also assume the police provoked this. Simple mind. If you want to end the corruption, first look at whos in control. If you truly believe that sitting in a park will put us back on course; have at it moron! Vote for Obama again and see things get even worse.

  • @hitchains My point is simple. "Our" situation is too complex to say one voted for this at the ballot box as you suggest. Violent protests are not the answer! To suggest I sit and watch is a gross assumtion as I watch firends lose their homes, jobs and more. Who would ask for this? Perhaps if you people began to see this as everyones problem instead of attacking the police (whom are also Americans), you may see things a little more clearly.

  • @hitchains First step is to realize that politicians lie; then ask youself what are they saying. Those who say they are for main street; are they? Those who blame others for the economy; are they telling the truth? Whos been in control since 2006? Look at who the biggest contributors to the Obama campaign are. Goldman Sachs (bailed out) are at the top of the list; so why aren't you focusing your attention on there? Maybe just a little? Washington DC? Is this simply political?

  • The students who were beaten in this unprovoked, unilateral assault showed admirable restraint. Admirable!

The police, on the other hand, should be ashamed - ashamed as Americans and human beings.

  • @BruiserTom Restraint and fear are two different things. If the students were on an equal footing with the riot police you bet your ass they would have fought back. This is just an example of not having the balls to fight back in defense of your ideals, no matter who perverted those ideals are.

  • @ChrisPenta Some react to fear with violence in an attempt to overpower the source of their fear, some run away, some nonviolently stand their ground.

You are right about one thing: restraint and fear are two different things. I'm sure the students felt fear, but they stood their ground in the face of that fear. That is the very definition of courage. Fighting for an ideal does not have to involve violence.

  • @BruiserTom The students were preventing the police from leaving, it is hardly unprovoked. So the story here is the police were actually leaving....

  • Hahahaha. Police baton > smelly hippies.

  • @Blackbeltjawa

A baton would kick anyones ass, but some people try to make a difference and get hurt for it. Unlike you who blindly obeys what he is told and doesn't question because you are a good follower. Good for you, shut up and do as your told.

  • @ahc688 I question, I stay informed. But I always continue my education and work for what I have. A lot of these "occupants" are just pissed because they can't find a job in their shitty, obscure college major and are too prideful to work somewhere else. I was raised to earn what I want, not protest and bitch when I can't get everything handed to me.

  • @Blackbeltjawa Well said. Amen.

  • @ahc688 Really? You think you're thinking for yourself? All OWS is, is a bunch of sheep without a leader. You just follow each other because you're contrarians (people who oppose the majority and/or those in power just for the sake of being different.)

  • @Blackbeltjawa You mean, the intellects who have attended the same universities as these, who founded great sites like this, and countless others?

  • Comment removed

  • Okay, you beat women. Good for you. Do you feel better? But for what purpose? You didn't even have a goal. did you? The crowd did not disperse. They stood their ground and you were the ones who left. We must all agree, one of you, the one who gave the order is an idiot. To do this for nothing is moronic. Either the students must be moved or not. Don't just hit them and then say, alright, that's enough beating for now. Again, the police are lead by moron. We all must at least agree to that.

  • Fight the System!!!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for recording this!!!! These people are no fucking better than the Iranian police forces that beat up their own people when they demonstrate against the gov't in Iran... and then the American gov't pretends to be such a free speech gov't pursuing human rights! Yeah, right! THIS is either the beginning of America going down or the beginning of a big change!!! Let's hope it's the second one!

  • @xsavedkt Iranian police were shooting protesters for no justifiable reason. Big difference. If THAT happens, I may join you, (and I AM a Cop).

  • @gotgank I honestly do not see how that is different, also considering the fact that the Iranian police forces were also and originally only beating the protesters!! But regardless of that, how is it okay for these police officers to beat up this peaceful group of demonstrators? Also, we shouldn't wait for the worst case scenario before we start opposing injustice.

  • @xsavedkt Trepassing, blocking streets and disrupting OTHER peoples lives is against the Law. The Occupy'ers claim to be protesting Wall st. How in Gods name do the Cops control Wall st? Most Cops agree with wat these ppl are protesting about. I do. BUT...."fighting for a just cause", does not give them free reign. Thats the kind of thing the Taliban uses as excuses to kill innocents.

  • @gotgank It is your job as a cop to oppose and protect the people from even the slightest injustice you see!

  • i dont know the whole story so im not sure wat to think but i know there was better ways to take care of it then hittin them with batons

  • Those officers need to get the crap beat out of them.

  • see you people keep looking for anonymous, well the message is we are all anonymous its every single one of us the hole world is anonymous (WE ARE ANONYMOUS!)

  • Anonymous we need you now !!

  • fucking pigs

  • Whether or not you agree with the protesters is irrelevant. The questions here are: 1) Were the students exercising their first amendment right and 2) Were the campus officers using excessive force? The answer to both is YES! Thrusting a baton into the gut of a student that has arms locked is excessive force.

  • @cyranod72 agreed

  • So the occupy movement now wants privatization of public education????? IGreat! I'm all for it! So are these people in alignment with other conservative ideas as well?........ Be serious for a moment, these wacko socialists want govt control over everything, just the opposite.
