My son at the age of 3 could read Juice and then it was gone, no speech, lots of tears, I already knew something was wrong. So am I to call him a savant when he suddenly starts writing and spelling big words, we had never approached him with, he gets removed during spelling, as a boy who is LFA, yet has his heart entwined with the students and teachers, they understand his difference in sounds. So if the word Restaraunt comes up and the students are to privately write, he spells it out loud!

idk.. i was drawing like this when i was about 12. Im in art school now.. and looking back at my childhood artwork i was more advanced than some children but nothing that special. Like i said tho.. its more amazing here cuz he is autistic.
@Punkette151617 That's the definition of a savant though, having certain abilities much higher than one's other abilities. The good abilities don't have to be outstanding, they just have to be highy surprising given general functioning.
@bumtildeath no i think it would be more amazing if he saw a city once or twice and then did this line drawing with precision or something like that. I did a research paper on Savants not to long ago and he just doesnt fit the bill im sorry.
this is true.. at 12 i was doing stuff like this.. if not better. if u see my comment above i was saying its not savantism at all.. its more like its just kinda amazing cuz he has autism. His painting is all over the place but i do see him using cool and warm colors in the same areas wich i learned to do in art school.. didnt know it when i was 12 lol

Ping Lian's parents should invest in some larger brushes, it's more difficult to
paint large areas like the sky with that 1" brush!

@Punkette151617 You think its just more amazing because he is extremely receptive, focused, routinized, and logistical?

It would be good to see Ping Lian Yeak to do the line drawing and not just the colours. Any chance for another video?
