jeepXtreme4X4..................i have a 1999 gt with magnaflow catback exhaust and thats it other than that im stock and i average a 14.1 in the quarter
O yea i turned a 14.2 in the quarter shifting it like that only mod i had was a cold air intake u have to shift it around 5200 rpm if it hits 5700 it will bog because the autos have a rev limitor were as the 5 speed dont but trust u over rev those motors u will fuck up the heads my boy blew his up that way
Thats because you guys cant drive I had a 99 mustang GT Automatic if you shift it manualy from L1 to L2 with the traction button off it will hit as hard as a 5 speed I use to swing the ass end side ways on mine every time I shifted it like that beat that tranny for 3 years like that never had a problem car got smashed on my way to work one day but those auto trans aint slugs only if you leave them in over drive!
Those are low 14 second cars.. If they have the 4-speed auto, they are even slower.. (The automatic transmission in the 99-04 Mustangs are not aggressive at all)..
Yeah jeepxtreme4x4 is correct the auto GT's 99-04 are luke slugs the 5 spd is the only way too go... I test drove a few different 99-04 GT's and the 5 spd was always stronger or it felt it even driving at 60 not just dumping the cluth.
my 04 mustang GT with a 4-speed auto is capable of a 14.1 in the 1/4 mile, and i have seen quite a few 5-speed in the high 13's, and my only mod is exhaust, so you might want to do some fact checking on that
I'm sorry but I can't believe your automatic Mustang ran 14.1 with flowmaster mufflers as your only modification.. I'm not being mean, but if you post this on Mustang forums, even they will raise the "BS Flag" until you prove it.. Maybe you have a factory freak, who knows...
