  • Sorry...what Software did you use to rec this video?

    Awesome work!

  • I used to colour manga scans. ._. I know how tedious it is to clean/separate things. I need more patience. LOL.

  • props for using a pc bro! hahaha

  • Omar Dogan is the baddest man alive.

  • Hi!, the question is directly to Omar.. you say that in the process of colouring is better separating the characters from the Background.. I understand that this is painful.. but I need a recommendation.. I wonder if you heard about the Wacom Inkling this device help to draw on the paper and separate everything in Layers, so while you draw you can separate the character from the background.

Do you think using this new thing can help to do the colouring less painful?

    thanks!

  • Actually, more than half of this part of the tutorial can be avoided if you ink digitally. All you need to do is ink the characters on one layer and the bg on another layer. This avoids the tedious whiteout process. But I guess traditional inking might be more comfortable, and this is definitely useful for those mixed media artists out there.

  • One thing about digtal is that you can add focal blur to create depth of field.

  • Cool! I use CS4!

  • eraser its really an undo man, and pencil its redo, hahhaha nice video.

  • This is great! BTW, it says "Part 1". Will there be "Part 2", because we can't find it ;-)

  • That IS pretty useful, though I can see it becoming fairly time consuming with multiple pages like this. Though this is a solid tool in my arsenal.

  • @sunzoo1 I can colour traditionally but this is what I was asked to do FYI. I've been doing this back in the days before comps with markers, so I've paid my dues pal.

  • @sunzoo1 Abusing the undo button is normal for lots of people .____.

  • @sunzoo1

You don't color digitally, do you? Ctrl+Z is a reflex for digital artists.

  • @SycrosD4 I'm learning to. 'Abusing' the undo button is still a concept that sounds absolutely ridiculous to me. I suppose using layers is cheating too? It didn't sound like it was based on some idea about confidence or grace of stroke that he's using to justify such an idiotic claim. His stance is perfectly applicable to the use of an eraser, whiteout, scraper. If he wants to get into surety of stroke, I agree. Anything else and it's just an ego trip..

  • REALLY going to enjoys this tutorial!!!! Thank you soooo much for uploading :)
