Wow! This is awesome! Are you able to make it perform palm mutes as well? How long did it take you to make this!? O.o
I have a guitar that I want to sample, every fret, and every string, and this would be an extremely easy way to do it. I'm jealous of your mad skills. ^_^
@godseyse I was working on palm mutes using a baloon filled with gel, but it wasn't as good as real palm mutes. Maybe you will be able to find a better substitute for a palm.
It took a week to design, the main problem is that motors should not be running when the string is plucked, that's why I had to use a momentum wheel. I also didn't manage to produce controllable pluck strength, I have an idea of the design but have no time to do that.
