  • @choosing2lookeast co sign!

  • off the scale!

  • Amen.

  • Jesus is the light not the sun in the sky. Jesus can heal Maurice of his illness if he turns to Him who is faithful and true. Jesus created all even the elements.

  • Incredible!

  • Philip Bailey's lead vocals on this song are indescribable...such a gifted falsetto!! Larry Dunn's writings and musical direction for this band are legendary, along with Maurice White's and Al McKay's. This band was and is comprised of pure TALENT...men who were gifted beyond their years, and that is a gift that can only come from the Almighty, Himself. Earth, Wind and Fire were all about sending positive messages out into the world. I thank God for them!! Thank you for sharing.

  • I MET LARRY DUNN THROUGH HIS MOTHER,MISS DUNN,SHE WAS A WELL RESPECTED AND BEAUTIFULLTY SPIRITED PERSON.MY MOTHER AND I THOUGHT THE WORLD OF HER. I NEVER FORGET SHE GAVE ME MY 8TH GRADE GRADUATION SUIT.IN 79"I USE TO HELP HER AT HER SECOND HAND STORE ALOT WHEN I WAS A SMALL KID.ONE DAY I WAS TALKING TO HER ABOUT MUSIC AND PLAYING A BASS GUITAR THATS WHEN SHE MENTIONED LARRY.,,,LARRY IF YOUR READING THIS JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW YOUR MOTHER TOUCHED OUR LIFE MISS HER

  • Everyone....See the LIGHT! God is LOVE. Share it with your sisters and brothers. Peace.

  • From :04 to :34 is not of this world...

  • @roadwarr That's the best part of the song for me

  • Larry dunn was so damn fine back in those days!!!!! and i was too damn young lol

  • One of the best song of EWF. They have so many great songs. Love them ^^

  • This tune kept me alive for years .... Thanks

  • 20th century classical music, folks..to be listened to in the centuries to come..CHOON!!!!

  • stand out track from that's the way of the world.

  • Yes, this is a classic. I read somewhere that this entire record is among the finest of its kind (period-wise). I agree. There isn't a bad song on the record.

  • This is a real classic! Nicely done

  • I remember hearing this song others by EWF as a young bassist and how Verdine's bass lines blew me away. These guys were phenomenal ! (until they went the more commercial/pop/disco route).

  • Of all of EWF's music catalog, this song is my favorite. I love the spiritual message in it. A prayer in song. Happy 40th Anniversary EWF!

  • GREATEST SONG EVER!!!! And I've heard millions...

  • Cool pic of Maurice @ 2:30

  • SEE THE LIGHT! IT'S SO WONDERFUL!

  • Brilliant,,,

  • Mmmmmm....oh if we all could see the LIGHT.

  • hey GZ...you excluded the ending dialogue man. That's some funny s##t man. You can't understand WHAT these 2 guys are saying...or are their just messing around. Sounds like one of them called out the other guy's momma....lol

I love it.....I love EWF Forever

  • EWF 's music was and still is spiritually enlightening. I love this song. The lyrics are plenty meaningful. The title of the song says it all. Direction. That's what you young people of today are sooooo in need of. But they won't listen to "good" . The radio, movies, and tv have total control over them . "Help Them See the Light"...that's some heavy stuff

  • Reminds me of Mario Kart lol.

  • I love the moog solo in the begining,,,very nice...

  • Larry Dunn IS THE MESSIAH!!!!!!

  • Troubles everywhere

    more than I can bear

    so I'm searchin from within

  • Oh! That's great! XD. Thnx. Blessings! ;)

  • I've no words to speak about this song...That's why EWF was Miles Davies favourite artists

  • @MrFcordeiro1 Really!? I didn't know that! How do you know that?

  • @GZuraman Hello! It's on the Wikipedia page about EWF.It says that Miles Davies in a interview said they played all instruments, and they are a very complete band.

  • Now we know where Caldera got their influence.

  • @doc2skate I knew a funky fusion band called Caldera in late 70's. But, Caldera was a Venezuelan president from my country. Waht Caldera are you talking about?

  • @GZuraman You got it. Caldera was a Jazz Funk band (1976-1979). The players were Eduardo del Barrio (formerly of EWF), Jorge Strunz, Carlos Vega, Mike Azevedo and Steve Tavaglione. Larry Dunn of EWF was a guest musician on two their albums ("Sky Islands", "Time and Chance").

  • @doc2skate Wooof!! Just great. I loved the sound from that band, but I never knew that Eddie Del Barrio and Larrey Dunn played with them. Please, can you put a link here or something that could let me obtain that music? XD

  • @GZuraman The best way is to type "Caldera" in "YouTube" space above. A list of songs will appear. My favorites are "Seraphim (Angel)", "Ancient Source", "Sky Islands", and "Horizon's End".

If your fav isn't listed, type the title. Sometimes it's not in list but it's available. I'm not yet "computer literate" to create links, but working on it. If you don't remember name of songs, google album title. Click on link and the songs will be listed. Let me know how this works out.

  • @GZuraman Where the hell YOU been bro? Eddie was NOT a member but Larry was. How old are you?

  • @doc2skate When was Eduardo del Barrio in Earth Wind and Fire..???

  • @freein2339 By now you know Eduardo de Barrio was on the "Last Days and Time" album (1972). Somebody once told me Larry Dunn was also in the group Rufus feat. Chaka Khan. But I can't find any proof.

  • @doc2skate I never saw his name on the album cover but I'll check again...

  • @doc2skate NO IT WAS RONNIE STOCKART FROM DECATUR,IL PLAYED WITH RUFUS,CHAKA KHAN

  • @freein2339 when I get my "studio" back, I'm gonna loop that part for about 10 minutes, and just meditate until I can "see the light". :)

  • I Agree, To Me This Is The Best Song by EWF!

  • EWF CARRY ON!!! 40 YEARS AND GOING!!

  • A teen coming of age!

  • @GZ;greeting to my Venezuelan friend, but I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but to you and our friend, it is I who holds the title as EWFs # 1 "FAN".It was bestowed upon me by Jupiter himself back in the"Days and Time".Peace to you....StonieDogStl. :-} !!!!

  • @jdpatterson100 Haha, well... at least I know that in my heart I love them more than anybody else. XD. "Share your love, don't try to restrain it, love don't need to be afraid to love, everybody get together, let every heart in the world do it's part". Let's love EWF together. XD. (Well, maybe me a little more, hehe)

  • i thought i was the only person who understood the greatness of EWF, the posts here make me proud to be EWF #1 fan.

  • @MrDen7515 I can't acept that. I am the EWF's #1 fan!!! XD (It's funny, like a dream to discuss with someone about who is the EWF's #1 fan XD)

  • Charles Stepney + EWF = God's Instrument.

  • magnific

  • Larry Dunn amazes me to no end...

  • if you listen.......this is really a prayer to the Almighty, and I still sing this song Everyday!!!!!! PEACE,and thanx for the wonderful post...help them see the light, whatever it my be.......StonieDogStl.

  • @jdpatterson100 Yes. Sometimes in the morning, before going to my work, I pray to God singing or thinking about this song. It's much more than beautiful. It's a heal for my spirit. Makes me feel and remember that I always have to "Keep my head to the sky". XD

Thnx for sharing. Love ya. My regards from Venezuela. Blessings. ;)

  • @GZuraman Well, well my precious ones who are in love with the Mighty Elements but I AM their #1 fan since 1974, when I was a teen, but it DOES make my heart sing to know that their are those who can appreciate them for who they truly are, Ones who carry the message of love, that even some 40+ years later, it still resonates, so as my kids would say Peace and Hair grease Lady L.

  • holy mackeral this song in awesome!!!!!!!

  • EARTH, WIND;and FIRE....A class all by themselves!!!! Thank you for the post; You Tube......And most of all ...THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for the acknowledgement Choosing2lookeast.

  • @unmatchedalex Thnx to God and EWF. ;)

  • This song continues to bring me to tears...after all these years.

  • One of the most influential bands of all time, one of the greatest albums of all time, one of the best songs of all time. They were truly in a league all their own.

  • Perfect way 2 end off the album: That's the Way of the World is one the best of the 1970's....always overlooked by white media outlets: Rolling Stone, fuck'em!!

  • Best band, best song ever.

  • The great testimony of gratitude in our Creator. A single prayer in Rhyme and Perfect Melody and the Genius of Earth Wind & Fire. How wonderful it is to be of Christian Faith, Tolerant, Forgiving and Grand in every scale. God Bless these poets of Life and Glory. Their music has given my life a crisp clarity of purpose, strength and faith.

  • @unmatchedalex you summed up my feelings for this song perfectly. God bless you!

  • Have always loved this song & the album since I was 4 when it came out in 1975...still have my album, 8-track, Cassette & CD of "That's the way of the world"...lol

  • My dad still plays this song out today.. I love it so much! Especially the harmonies!

  • I attended a EWF concert in Oakland with another Japanese American. Over half the audience was Asian. I think EWF transcends race and a lot of that has to do with Maurice White's positive messages. Philip Bailey is awesome too and both of them had good solo careers. 'I Need You" by the former and 'State of The Heart' by the latter are two fine examples.

  • First 30 seconds is just wonderful....

  • For me, the best band ever. XD

  • @KentAZ58 the best band period my friend:)

  • ONE OF EARTH'S BEST VERY SPIRITUAL AS USUAL AND LIFTING YOUNG PEOPLE DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY MISSED. I ALWAYS SAW THEIR CONCERTS AT THE SPECTRUM AND WAS NEVER DISAPPOINTED HAD ALL THEIR ALBUMS WISH I HAD SENSE ENOUGH TO HAVE KEPT THEM.

  • Thnx so much to you all for sharing this with me! XD

  • Thank you so much for posting. Love this song. Listen.

  • Larry dunn really speaks to us in this song with his intrument.

  • @slidzak1973 - Larry Dunn, the quiet leader of that band.

  • This cut is of course from one of the best Albums of that era. Probably EWF best effort out of many. Philip Bailey does a nice job here." Reason's" from this same lp is Phil Bailey at the top of his game. Love this cut more personally...

  • Larry Dunn proves himself to be a true master on this song. His Keyboard solos are the best ever!

  • i was born in 1973, im 37 now but i remmeber in the early 80's my dad played there music over and over again. by 86 in junior high school i was listening to earth wind and fire and the kids were like yuk thats old music. im like whaaaaaaaat? u peeps are stupid lmaooo. and this is why those same people today cant listen to nothing but one type of music, that sucks.

  • It's impossible to be in a bad mood while listening to EWF. Simply the greatest R&B band of all-time, hands down.

  • i wish this was the extended version where they're playing around speaking African at the end! ;)

  • @rickfan1964 Love that version also, but there's no language called African. Many languages are spoken in Africa.

  • 1:14!!! listen to Philip on that high note!!! ;)

  • The opening moog solo is great....

  • Thnx to them who made that great beautiful music, and thnx to you all for posting comments and sharing this with me. EWF is forever my favorite band. But... with all my respect, that song is not in the album All N' All. See the light is the last song in the album That's the way of the world. Cheers! XD

  • Without a doubt the least exposed, least often played composition of EWF's tittular 'ALL 'N' ALL" album. Probably because of it's uplifting, yet "non-denominational' (otherwise read 'universal) theme. Thanks Maurice, Verdine and Phillip. And

    Thank You much, GZuraman.

  • @Atomank68 Actually this tune was on "That's the way of the world" ...lp

  • I love the transition around 1:30 brilliant how the mood just changes. Yeah their music is more in the Masterpiece category then just pop or R&B etc. Art.

  • @cedricrlongreen I feel the same way, and have loved them since 1974, I was only 14 then, but oh how it has grown, like someone said once "the music of my life" take care....Peace Lady L.

  • Not only is this a beautiful song but it is one of my favorites of any artist...EVER!!!!!

  • @MsAna247 Yeeaaahh XD

  • Reese and the boys doing it

  • @Bassplayershadow2023 YEAH DOING IT BIG IF THEY PUT THIS OUT NOW THEY WOULD CLEAN UP BIG TIME NO DOUBT.

  • @Bassplayershadow2023 Hey would like to see a movie as stated before.

  • Only one on YouTube! (thumbs up) XD

  • One of my favorite songs of ALL TIME! And I've heard probably millions ;-)

  • @djkilabeat XD

  • Thanks so much for this incredible divine song!
