  • The one on the rights a royal dumbass, I use netflix 8 hours a day, when youtube has a deal that i can buy 7 series of scrubs for 3 month usage, for $5, then I'll say okay they've got something i could be interested in, all they have is the same thing most TV services have, on demand.

  • Yeah, while I think it's a good idea for Youtube to cut into the piece of pie by selling watchable online movies, Netflix still trumps. Pay 4 or 5 bucks for ONE movie just doesn't cut it, especially when I can watch up to 1-2 movies a night all week long whenever I want. Also, Netflix has television shows! You can't beat Netflix, Youtube. Nice try though. lol

  • Icefilms.info torrentz.eu 0$

  • If Youtube gets me an 8$ a month where I can stream any film in their library into my XBox360 (because PSN is down) then we're having a conversation, but as long as Netflix offers 8$ monthly for endless movies I will not pay 4$ for a single movie on Youtube. Unless I want a movie that's not in Netflix, then I'll rent it, but I'll go to Amazon first. In Amazon for 6$ I can order the DVD and rent the streaming movie.

  • Why should I pay $4 for something that's included in the price of my Netflix subscription? IF something wasn't available on Netflix I'd check Hulu/Fancast to see if I could get it free, if I couldn't I would opt for a service like Amazon where I at least own the file perminantly after having payed.

  • Let's see...Netflix's flat rate vs YouTube's carte blanche. If I were to pay per viewing of each movie or TV show I've streamed on Netflix in the last month I'd be paying a LOT more than nine bucks. Sorry, guys. I'm not with you on this one.

  • No i dont think this beats netflix i mean apple does something similar on itunes where you can stream movies for like 2 bucks but for 10 i get all i want from netflix. and it was 4 bucks to rent harry potter for 24 hours fyi.

  • Cool, just watched bad taste for free. The adverts suck, and the quality is low res, but its free.

  • Bottom line, nobody can ever compete with Netflix because nobody else has been willing to match their prices. I only pay 10 bucks a month for Netflix and have access to their whole library, another service charging me 3 or 4 bucks to watch a single movie isn't going to cut it. It's all about price at the end of the day.

  • @xxSUMBLKGUYxx I completely agree with you. Also to also take into consideration is netflix can just simply add rental movies to the list of options and to mess with youtube charge 50 cents less then what they do lolol

  • @moety2 Exactly, the reason Netflix is as big as it is now is because of the price, that's why people don't complain about the fact new movies aren't streaming on there the same day as the dvd release. Topping Netflix is simple, charge $10 to $15 a month for streaming movies that includes streaming of new movies the same day as the dvd release and Netflix is finished. Nobody wants to offer us streaming of new movies though for a monthly price, they're all trying to milk us for every dollar.

  • @moety2 Actually, in addition to the normal Netflix 8$ streaming service you can add a 2$ a month fee and you can do the mail-in DVD thing where you get access to pretty much every movie out there (that you might want).

  • @DrQuijano I have netflix. newer movies take some time to become avalible. Still is much better then this youtube idea. Makes me wonder if these guys even have netflix.

  • Man, you aren't going to like this: even movies are invading our psyches, so anyone who believes truth rests in independent sources of information outside of mainstream media should consider the effects ALL media have on our world view and our psyche. A rare bit of entertainment is healthy-- a steady diet is creating a false reality which spawns a dysfunctional life. Life was intended to be about participation, not distraction.

  • @carefulcarpenter That's what digital media theorists in the digital humanities are starting to say (finally after 4 years of my pointing it out to them).

  • as someone who watches movies and shows obsessively, nothing will ever come close to netflix. for $10 a month, i usually watch 1 film a day (sometimes 2 or 3 a day on the weekends) either by streaming or on disk. renting films one at a time, for several dollars each, is out of the question for me. but a lot of people are casual cinephiles, so there will be a big market for both kinds of rental services.

  • lol the Blockbuster went out of business in my town. Never really hear of them anymore. I never rented from them though so not like it matters to me. This is kinda cool. I might check it out.

  • we can already watch New movies that are a few clicks away for FREE!

  • The first polyp of cancer in the Colan of cancer that will kill Youtube...

  • Netflix no longer sends movies to your house. They have moved 100% to computer streaming and internet TVs/bluerays/PS3s/ect. and are doing amazing, they're not going anywhere unless youtube finds it's way into blueray/internet tvs better then it's current pretty crap quality. (<---- Works at Best Buy's home theater department)

  • @mical15 then why do i still get dvds from netflix?

  • @mical15, i got a dvd sent to my house yesterday. Maybe your area is not profitable enough for netflix to offer mailing services to you.

  • Super size me was already on youtube,

But but its awesome yt has full legal movies now.

  • $8 per month to $4 per movie? LOL! Netflix and online streaming for me!
