@mesm43 Excuse me but I feel I have to say something. I'm an American High School student, who has recently doing a report on Che. Our teachers never told us he was a murderer, or a bad man. They simply presented us with his deeds and let us draw our own opinions. We then were tasked to do our report on him, the theme was whether we felt he was a hero or villain. I think he was a hero.
American's love to demonize Che, yet they don't know nothing about the man. Read and learn about him then make your own mind about how you feel about him.
@romybobby Because he was a hero. If Latin America had more leaders like Che and less leaders like Batista, Pinochet, Noriega, Trujillo and the likes of them it would've been a much better place today. This man stood up against oppression and after victory did not let power corrupt him. He continued the fight and died like a man. Even if I was his enemy and did not share his views I would still respect him.

lexman00's comment is just well stupid i dont like how my government tries to control affairs that they have no business touching but really i doubt they were scared of a marxist revolution its more likely that they would prefer to isolate communism and promote capitolism but its just like my opinion man
Che became a murderous tyrant who was calling for nothing short of world war. And they didn't call him "the butcher" for nothing. He oversaw the execution of his own people without a trial simply by declaring them war criminals. He was prejudiced against blacks and other hispanics and made no secret of the fact that he considered himself above them.
And he believed he could heal more people by leaving the field of medicine and becoming a revolutionary.. what a joke.
@avq5 there is no revolution without arms, so they did what they had to for the revolution to be succesful...but what you say about him treating blacks is just ignorant. If no, just go read about his time in the Congo after he left Cuba. You may have different ideals, but you have to respect a man who really commited to his ideals and fought for he believe was right, read about his literacy, educational programs...really makes you ask what have you done for your society lately.
@phkio If you want to see someone who fights injustice, intolerance and tyranny, I invite you to look up Joanny Sanchez, Maria Beatriz Roque, Antunez, the Ladies in White, Zapata and the countless victims of a "communist" system brought about by Castro and your hero Che Guevara.
Che wasn't even Cuban, but he saw how shamefully the US dominated and controlled the people of Cuba under Batista, as well as so much of the rest of Latin America. I'd be pissed off too. Viva Che!
Interesting speech. For a minute we thought he was going to disclose the names of the thousands of victims, some as young as 16 years of age, that he and his cohorts shot at La Cabana fort in Havana. This anti-American and anti-Cuban bastard came to Cuba uninvited and along with his psycopath leader Castro destroyed Cuban society and shattered a culture that had been in place for 400 years. Argentina has given great human beings to this world but this anarchist lunatic was not one of them.
@ryanrful buuhahahaha. These guys threw out a colonial power and their lackey's, the latter of whom shifted to miami with their ill gotten wealth after starving cuban peasants for a hundred years. Check your stats; there were 216 people killed in la cabana, mostly former members of Batista era security apparatus. If you want to talk about destruction, then the US invasion of Iraq is a true example of a murderous wave of warfare that has reduced a 4000 year old culture to rubble.
he wasn't anti-american or anti-cuban.. he wasn't anti-"insert nationality" at all.. he's a socialist and he fought against injustice caused by capitalism and imperialism.. its just happens that the united states government and the previous cuban government were one of the many causes of injustice in latin america.. all the cuban exiles hated him because finally someone was brave enough to stand up to the bully (capitalists and imperialists)!
@missg2228 And if you honour his enemies you honor state-sanctioned murder, rampat greed, povery, death squads, terrorism, apartheid, injustice, racism, classism, starvation and theft.
I don't understand why people are saying "his ideas will never die". As far as I can tell (and according to wikipedia) he was a Marxist. KARL MARX. It's HIS ideas that will never die.
@FedorEight cheet to your talking Pablo picasso is a world icone and he was no playboy look like you should wash your mouth talking about Che he could have a good life in argentina or cuba after revolucion but no he pursue what he believed the eguality of men to the last consequences beside the tshirt icon theres a person how give a lesson to the world mony its nothing next to what you believe
Lol. Strong, smart arguments there... We are all slaves to image. Being one of these suckers for looks, one of my personal favourites is Lenin, ha-ha.
As long as they were fascist, oppressing scum and u.s.a's bitches, yeah, it was for a good cause. Then again, I'm not from Cuba and relatives of mine were in the resistance. So, yeah... Another childish argument right there.
Your comments speak for themselves, no need for anyone to call you names. And I doubt you're a serb.
@FedorEight I guess that's sort of like how the Americans supported Batista. That was a good cause, right? He certainly wasn't murdering thousands of people, right?
@Zmurex let me guess you read 'che guevara and the useful idiots who idolize him.' It has no basis. It doesn't take sources from Cuban files, CIA, FBI files, it's just based it on pure hate. Jon Lee Anderson was allowed access to CIA files on Guevara, aswell as Cuban and Bolivian intelligence. He said he couldn't find evidence of Che killing anyone that wasn't guilty of crimes punishable by death during war.
The world is a better place without his rediculous notions of what the world should look like. It's ashamed that a man of his dedication, skill, and commitment were wasted on so terrible an ideology. His sacrifice was worthy of a better cause then communism.
any who oppose the ideals of freedom within a country to stay free from corperations and slavery that are supported by capitalistic and imperialistic methodology is an enemy of mine thus you when you support a regime like this then you your self have become its slave, and you ignorant americans your empire shall crumble just like britain did under REVOLUTION
I understanda country would want to have what ever arms it would like without "imperialism" having a say. I am also glad Cuba has no nukes on its island. What would have happen if Feidel didn't turn his back on Che and kept him in Cuba? We will never know because there could only be one king. Murderus dirt bags none the less
The USA imperialist used their manipulative criminal CIA to sponsor the death of Che Guevara back in 1967 Bolivia. Why? Because the USA feared an influential Marxist revolutionary who was against everything that was wrong about imperialist Capitalism. In honor of Che we will unite our Latin America and keep fighting against the oppressive ideals of the gringo empire. VIVA America Latina! VIVA el Bolivarismo!
@Lexman00 Unite Latin America in the name of Che' huh? Yeah, that's likely.
Capitalism is great and will never die.
As for the "Gringo Empire"...bring it on you slimy son of a bitch. The day you take over our country is the day I take action and end it very quickly. I won't let you win! I promise you... We will NOT let you win.
You got away with doing behind the scenes action, now it's over. Your dreams of taking over America are as dead and cold as your murderous bitch of a hero Che'.
@axlrose9951 Capitalism is already dead, a few people in your country already took over the system. You can go vote once in 4 yrs and thats what you are, an opinion and nobody really gives a shit about it in your country!
@axlrose9951 take it easy buddy....how can you be so absolute when we took land from mexico left and right and the natives.....ever heard of northern mexico now known as texas, california, arizona, new mexico....read some history bitch..not sayin i disagree w you completely just sayin you obviously dont know too much so read up and then post shit about shit you actually know..dont post on shit you know nothing about.......yoiur country was someone elses first and you get mad ...rethink it son
@Lexman00 The irony of your belief system is it's made in Europe aka Gringo city. The circle of your own oppression. The truth has no race. And certainty no well reviewed individual lives within ideology. You still live in a tribe that thinks like a Eastern-European (philosophical) sheep. I on the other hand read history (from multiple perspectives) and come up with my own non-ideological conclusion. With biases, but far more reviewed.
@Lexman00 Se dice BOLIVARIANISMO. Si vas a repetir como un loro entrenado terminos que tu bajo nivel academico no te permiten entender o racionalizar por lo menos aprendetelos correctamente.
@Lexman00 You do realize that Jewish bankers (those you call capitalists) were the driving force behind communism? Perhaps Che's heart was in the right place, but communism serves the capitalists behind a central bank. The same old game: usury.
This scum bag should never have been allowed to talk at the UN. The amount of pain he caused to Cuban families was incredible. Many of the brave men who worked to free Cuba from the grasp of Spain were executed under order of Che. Typical of idealogues, his 'utopia' was threatened by 'free thinkers' and those that had previous military expierience.
The Cuban people are very honorable and deserve a better history than Che and Castro gave them.
He's a joke, just like Stalin and Castro and all the other communist dictators that preach equality and justice for everyone, but then go and brutally murder and opress their people
What was Operation Condor? What was Operation Northwoods? What was Eisenhower's executive order that oppressed all people convicted of sexual perversion during the 1950's? What was that thing that obliterated hundreds of thousands of Japanese men, women, children, and elderly during WWII? What can you tell me about the exploitation of the indigenous Latin Americans after the landing of Columbus to the present day? What about the Struggle for Africa. Life is not one-sided.
Harriet Tubman Murdered people and she was not doing anything different then what che' was doing what is it with people who never know wtf they are talking about. This is a man who gave up a life of money and leisure, to live amongst the poor, who lived amongst lepers. A man who gave his life and did not become a sell out unlike castro . He was not some C.I.A illuminati tool like stalin and mao were. U could never find a damn thing wrong with the philosophy he lived by.
Here's a joke for you. Like the Tsar and the the ignorant Republicans and all other fervent capitalists that preach freedom and liberty but then go and exploit and abandon their people. And FYI, Che isn't remembered in Cuba for those he killed but for the revolution he immortalized.
Whenever I see someone wearing a Che T-shirt I think that they are either ignorant of who he was or that they are a blood thirsty murderer like Che was. Either way I don't want them near me.
Patria o muerte, y por la patria se mata compai'. If he was a murderer, any other soldier at war shall be labeled as such. Yea he killed, because he was in a war (kill or be killed), and those who were in his side that he killed, deserved to be killed. Doing unacceptable things under the name of the movement.
Don't bother to comment if you don't believe in what Che stands for because you will fall on deaf ears and you understand nothing of who he really was.
unless you've lived in a communist government under communist rulers, you don't know what Che stands for either, and you're in love with the ideal, not with the reality. and since you're using youtube right now, i'm guessing you don't live in a communist country.
Che Guevara was a killer and a murderer. He killed hundreds of innocent Cubans that wanted freedom. He was a terrorist. Che Guevara and Fidel castro destroyed Cuba.
Oh,you mean like the millions of people around the world NOW that want freedom? American people shout,"We need a Revolution!"...and haven't started one YET.(must be all that FLUORIDE)STFU about which you know nothing about or were brainwashed to believe.
Nothing more, nothing less! These people that think Che was some sort of "hero" are on the wrong side of history! Che was a murderous thug and a Communist! That is the antithesis of true freedom!
While che stood for great things and worked hard to get them, he was also a betrayer. He killed his own men often, even the youngest of his squad who was about 21 when Che became paranoid of being betrayed himself. I still admire the good he did, but he is by no means a saint.
Viva the butcher of la cabana! Viva the killer of children!!!!!

I wonder how iconic he would have become had he looked like Danny de Vito. You're all suckers for looks and slaves to image.
New idea for a Che T-shirt: "If this man killed a relative of yours, you should know it was for a good cause".

Zmurex 1 year ago

While che stood for great things and worked hard to get them, he was also a betrayer. He killed his own men often, even the youngest of his squad who was about 21 when Che became paranoid of being betrayed himself. I still admire the good he did, but he is by no means a saint.
