I think they are grouping people with a host of different issues under the same umbrella. For example, the scientist seems to just oppose urban living. The mole-stroker was just creepy, and many of the others were pathological in one sense or another. This show could have been much better researched.

This lady in the beginning of this part reminds me of my friend, who has taught me some tightwad ways. the best part of all, I married a tightwad and we watch our pennies together. we even share tips so we all learn from each other.

First of all, while I am quite conservative with my money, I have no time to sit and unroll wet toilet paper. Also, if I was 105 years old I doubt I'd save my bathwater to take a piss, but that's only my opinion.

@arsdag81: No, it is not the first sign of a serial killer. There are many children who kill rodents, but never grow up to be a serial killer. Moles are pests. He traps them and gets rid of the pest. So what if he keeps them in the freezer.

Being Frugal is alright as LONG as it DOES NOT go wayyyyyyyyyyy over board... Because just like anything it can easily become detrimental to the individual.. For the longest time, Ive been trying to save as much money as I can to maybe in the future take a trip to EASTERN EUROPE..

Love the documentary! I've known a few wonders in my life, including a friend who spent five years in India and learned to do without toilet paper entirely. When she returned to North America, she was too tight to go back to buying any and learned to live without.... Crissy'd be impressed.
