Being a voice student and teacher it's really hard for me to listen to music without critiquing (sp? lol) as well. The scooping is a small slide from the start of one note up to another note. It is a very pop sytle thing to do. I think you have a lot of talent though, and should possibly seek a voice teacher. :D

I would gladly take voice lessons but for lackof funds can not. I took vocal music all through highschool though as well as having played the flute for 7 years.thanks for the constructive critique.

you seem to know your stuff! i'm no singer, but i think scooping helps give the vocal line feeling and makes it somewhat more human.. i usually end up hating opera cover versions of rock standards cos they take away all the scoops! hehe that's my opinion anyways
