  • That tone is so Gary!

  • Great job my friend!

  • конечно круто играет..но нету той чувствительности,того оргазма,с которым играл Гэри.

  • Very nice

  • I have a lot of your stuff on my Ipod..

  • Gary would be flattered I'm sure. Very nice. RIP Gary Moore. What amp/effects are you using? Doesn't sound like much are being used.

  • Wonderfull-Gary likes it

  • very nice! where did't you get the backtracking??

  • реквием сам себе

  • @leha5331 requiem for himself , yes you are right.

    Mike

  • Это не реквием. Это что бы меньше весилились. Так и надо. Вот что значит настоящая музыка

  • This is so great talent and nice sound, good luck body.

  • @mjdtemresemiz Thanks a lot.

    Mike

  • Excellent

  • Apparently one douche bag did not like it.

  • @SIXSTRING63 Make it two.

  • @SIXSTRING63 Make it two. Neither can play a note I suspect. LOL

  • Gary Moore didn't die, he's right here playing for you, he's youtube user name is SIXSTRING63.

What an amazing cover... I always admired your talent and I think I asked you before: can I have about 10% of it?

    Mike

  • @SIXSTRING63

Busy busy - I'm jammim' with my son's band.. Kinda a rock/jazz instrumental feel to the music. All orginal.

    Blues on brother

  • @popstotexas Sounds great Dave. Put up some video some we can check it out.

    Mike

  • @SIXSTRING63

May do that - headed to the studio this month

  • Badass. That's the only thing I can come up with. Just pure, unabashed badassery. I'm not sure that's even a word, but it fits. One of the best covers of anyone ever made. Just badass.

  • @smacman68 Too funny ! thanks so much for your great comment.

    Mike

  • Mike dude this is fantastic. I'm memorized by it. Your tone and control of the notes and the bends is out of this world. It's very apparent that your playing was influenced by Gary. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

  • @crazyb3fan Thanks Mike. I've always been pretty good at bending to and holding a pitch. I think it comes from learning slide at a young age and be able to intonate with it.

    Mike

  • you definitely have some of the smoothest bends in the biz man.

  • @satchbooggy Thanks Satch ! just an homage to one of guitar heroes who will be missed by all.

  • Great Job Mike! Nice feel and control, very sweet. :0)

    Danny -- dlrdanny

  • @dlrdanny Thanks Danny, I do appreciate it.

    Mike

  • Fantastic work, Mike. I really enjoyed this, I can hear the 'Gary Moore' in your bends!

  • @coulsonsam87 Thanks so much Sam. I never tried to play this until last night. I sat down and watched Gary play it on the Montreux concert DVD's. Gary used a 24 fret double cut Les Paul to get to the high notes. I had to pull hard on the 22nd fret to get that one. LOL I thought it fitting to play it on a Les Paul.

  • Great tribute Mike! You had the tone perfect on the guitar and you played fantastic! Whoot! Much enjoyed this morning! Big Thumbs Up!!

  • wonderful

    passion full

  • absolutely amazing tribute!!!!

  • Great playing Six (perfect bend's).GM would be proud of this.

    Regards

    CP

  • Outstanding!! That was just a pleasure to watch, Mike! It's so obvious that Gary was one of your main influences while watching all of your vids. I can tell you really put your heart into this one.

  • @ZenDriveSevenAfter hearing you on The Loner I thought I would try a Gary Moore tribute. I never tried to play this until tonight. I found the backing track and got out the Gary Moore ultimate Montreux collection DVD set and watched him a bunch of times. He used a 24 fret Les Paul double cut and had a hard time hitting the high notes a few times. It was a chore hitting the high F on a 22 fret Les Paul single cut. It was fun to play and I might bring it into the band.

  • Talk about a rythem that is hard to stay in key with, HOLY SHIT that was awesome dude!

  • @6stringsbrainfingers Thanks Bro ! sometimes it is a lot harder to play slow like this than something really fast.

    Mike

  • Awesome !!!! Great job, That's an absolute Great tribute to Gary Moore!!

  • @PhilFeedback Thanks so much Phil. It was a tough stretch to hit the high F on a 22 fret guitar. I felt like I was playing slide listening for the note bending from high F down a half step to the E. Gary used a 24 fret Les Paul double cut on the video I have. Fun song to play. I miss Gary, wish I could have seen him live but he never came to the states at all.

  • That was beautiful.

  • @YessirAleks Thanks so much. I loved Gary's playing so much and it will be missed not hearing him live again. His music will live on though forever.
