  • upload in HD please

  • It looks like a BBC documentary.

  • is there a 35mm adapter on there or is that straight from the HV30?

  • @Droege1001

    Letus35-Mini

  • @danielepoli What kind of lens are you using? How are you avoiding vignetting in the shots?

    Looks awesome by the way

  • Steadycam? Cosa è una camera specialistica?? Qunato costerebbe?

  • @PISOLOPATATI No. La steadycam è un supporto che attutisce il movimento in riprese in cui corri o cammini... non è indispensabile. Dipende da che tipo di riprese hai intenzione di effettuare...

  • @PISOLOPATATIwww.youtube.com/watch?v=J6HDUDbeEJw

  • Final Cut Pro.

  • Very nice. Can't wait to get my HV40!

  • I like the vignetting. You did well with sync, also.

  • nice... Can I ask which software did you use for the post-production?

  • @JAJAJAX Thanx... Final Cut Pro

  • nice

  • Why the hell is there all that trash laying all over the place? I know its not shot in this country..........

  • nice job..

  • nj, check out my hv30 vids ;-)

  • nice job!

  • Seems like a neat camera. Impressed with the quality of the uploads, I might consider getting one, unless another tops it on that price range.

  • nvm i got an hv30 haha, and i uploaded a test :)

  • you need to increase your shutter speed to reduce the laggy effect, set it to around 50 and you should be fine!! good work though!!

  • Che cavolo manco un italiano.. :)

    ciao

  • This is a cinema mode test fail because the footage was graded in post.

  • i have always loved Canon!! real prestigious brand. thx for the clip!

  • did you do additional lighting?

  • No, just color correction in post production.

  • wooooooow!!!!ihave to haveit!!!ahhh!!!

  • Да, не хватает камкордеру - 3-х матриц (((

  • wow... i really want this camera... but also if im seen on the street walking around with this it would look kind of weird, thats why im getting a dvx 100 :/

  • why would you be sad about getting a dvx?

  • Oh woops I put the wrong face haha

  • this is only changing the saturation I guess

  • this is what i call hd.. awesome...

  • Hmm I thought it would have been clearer. Its not as sharp as some of the other 25p videos.

  • thts not HD..u know that right?

  • is this holland? it looks like it.

  • It's Italy... Milan.

    gracias

    Ciao

  • Ah you're welcome, another beautiful country.

    great video :)

  • is this color correction or a mattebox filter?

  • Color Correction 3 way in Final Cut.

    Ciao

  • canon hv 20 the best! no dubt!!

  • The color is so bold on the HV30s. I bet that the HV40 will hardly be an improvement; they're going to be SO similar. I wonder if this bets out the Sony HDV HC1. :/

  • the HV40 has NATIVE 24P! THAT'S AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • Hey. Is this an value you can choose on the camera or is it always 25p I got the Canon HG21 and it would be nice to know.

    Please reply

  • With my Canon HV30 i can choose 25p or 60p

    with HD resolution

    Bye

  • 25p, 30p or 60i

  • I wish I could see what the actual HD quality of this camera is like, without YouTube wrecking it. Can't seem to find any videos like that.

    Nice job on this btw.

  • go to vimeo

  • Check out Vimeo under HV20/30 channel or the HD channel

Vimeo is for HD videos and the People are very helpful

    there :)))

I think i'll find what you're look for at Vimeo :))

  • Other than being from different camera formats (PAL and NTSC) , is there any noticeable difference between 25p and 24p?

  • really breath taking! you are an artist!

  • this is absolutly amazing... because of this video i'm getting the canon hv30 =)

  • simply amazing. color correction was 10/10 and th music blew me away. *subscribes*

  • very nice video, can you tell me the songs name, or mail it to me please?

  • This camera will give you a lower frame rate, 23/25progressive scan, which gives is a 'film-esque' look. But he also did crazy-style color correction, this isn't raw footage. Also, editing 24/25p footage can be a big pain.

  • Why is it a big pain to edit 24p?

  • There's a few reasons, mostly because some editing software gets confused by it. Which means you have to do things like reverse telecine and having to literally tell it what the frame rate is. Usually i edit all my footage, then convert it to 24p AFTER im done editing, works better in my eyes. Good luck! :)

  • i wanted to get the sd5 becuase i can get it for 250$ but the sd9 has 24p soo is thier a software i can record normally and then convert it to 24p to make it the "film" look??? if not ill just get the sd9

  • maybe do a Google search for 'sd9 24p telecine' or something around those lines.

  • so would u say get the sd9 over the sd5?

  • How does the 25p cinema mode actually effect the picture. I have read that it makes it look like a professional movie, but what does that mean exactly.?? also what is the difference between 25p and 30p (apart from 5)?

  • these are referring to frames per second. most DV cameras record in 30 frames per second (30i) and interlaced (hence the i). interlacing is complicated look it up. 24p records in 24 frames per second and Not interlaced which is a good thing. the p in 24p means progressive or not interlaced. professional movie cameras record 24 frames per second.

however getting a 24p camera will IN NO WAY make your film look professional by itself. it comes down to lighting, color correction, and other things

  • 24p is nstc and 25p is UK PAL just if your confused brentwood.

  • Did you apply color correction in post or is this footage straight from the HV30?

  • yes, i apply color correction in post production.

  • what program?

  • Final Cut Pro

  • That's excellent! I've got a Sony FX1 which has a 'cinematone gamma' option, but it's not as good as your Canon. Looks great dude.

  • Are you using a wide angle lens?

  • No. Just the camera lens.

  • great job!

  • fantastic, PAL IT IS!lol

  • I love it :)
