ok. earth 5 thousand years ago? that puts us at... 3000 B.C? following judaism's calender (starting at 2000 B.C) that makes you state the world (which is huge) (and massive) (with carbon-based fossils)(and with animals)(and humans already on it) (and with plants here) was made 1,000 years prior. ok, i've seen some nifty tricks but that one takes the cake right there...
havenst seen the video yet . but i know at one point in time, everything was united into one continent . research it . i read it in an old encyclopedia i have .
@fractalfires Young Earth creationist's claim the Earth is 5000 years old... but I'll let that go.
The continents were once connected... there's strong evidence for that, but I don't see why you think that means the Earth was smaller. Forgetting EE for a moment, what is it about plate tectonics that you find implausible?
'The expanding earth theory' is not scientific theory... it's just idea, and not a very good one.
I could try to explain to you how convection currents make the Earth into a giant magnet, and how that fact directly leads to your idea not making sense... but I suspect the nuance would elude you, if you're the kinda guy that thinks the Earth is 5,000 years old.
@fractalfires The rectangular graphs are normalized to look pretty. As for the earth expanding...? Are you asserting that it gained mass or that it lost density? Why...?
Everything is accurate before present day. Eberything after is bullox. The atlantic ridge will keep spewing out mantle, while africa moves north west, the laurentia will hit the pacific plate and bounce to africas future locale, forming pangaea proxima/ultima.
if in 20 years time then invent a time machine im so going to that time period so i cn go england australllia england austraillia stepping from each side
Not sure if this very accurate. The Mid-Atlantic ridge creates crust, therefore continents would be moving away from it, right? Well they did at first, but then it looked as if the ridge reversed it's direction, and started moving crust into Earth's core. Hm.
The bridge between Alaska and Russia: definitely happening. :3
What's cool is Africa moves northward to be near the Arctic and Antarctica moves northward to the equator. It will be a complete reversal of climate on those continents. Imagine northern Africa with snow and ice covering the once desert and the once tropical areas covered in pine trees and four distince seasons. Similarly, Antarctica turns from frigid cold to tropical forests! It really shows you that we are just a blip on the evolution of Earth!
Notice that around 0:48, Antarctica seperated into two parts: East Antarctica moved north to the equator, while West Antarctica stayed at the southern ocean. It would be nice to live at West Antarctica 200 million years from now, because it would be a string of islands and continental fragments surrounded by ocean.
It's harder and harder to predict the future as you go along. It's like the weather; too much randomness and chaos theory, so it is unwise to speculate beyond a couple of hundred million years.
@Andreware then there will be big problems, like, extreme weather and super super tornados. the ocean flow of hot and cold water will change. this might lead to the end of life on earth. just saw it on Naked Science: Supercontinent from National Geographic Channel.
i laughed my ass off with this song LOL

A quick google search would imply otherwise...
On multiple websites...
I suspect you're making up your own terminology.
What exactly did you think the 'young' in young earth creationist was eluding to?

Why in 150 million years later, the atlantic mid ocean ridge became into a subduction zone which cause pangaea ultima ?

So this pretty much theory because we havent got a time machine to look in the future so how can we predict where the plates are going to move next ?
