he is amateur yet.i believe he can develope his speed,power technique etc.i think he will be more faster than aleks. however i don't know about fedor... because beyond all these,training, techniques,body etc.there are things which are special/private for every person and have to do with psychology,life,intelligence etc.are parts of personality,the'extra element' which make the difference, give the 'boost''.

Not really... It's much more similar to Judo. Yes, there are few submissions, but positioning on the ground is much less emphasized and there are a number of common takedowns between Sambo and Judo. A good BJJ practictioner should be able to submit a good Sambo practictioner, but the Sambo guy could throw him on his head.
