The first series of FA was aired at the same time as Popstars the Rivals and the second series of FA was aired at the same as the second series of Pop Idol. The problem is FA shot itself in the foot with the biased way in which they handled the second series from start to finish, as did the BBC for letting the producers and record company get away with it. It went against broadcasting standards so they were never going to get a third series.
