I watched this when I was a kid and was amazed when they ran up an wall and flipped in perfect timing! I have watched a lot of dancers through the years and nobody comes close to these brothers in my opinion!
u have to give it up astair , gene kelly and enore powell and all the rest ...this is the baddest ass dance number ever filmed...and they all said that .. man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!these cats could dance and with such style...oh did i say that they filmed this in one take.. truely no one could step to them

Awesome! I love it more every time I see it! I had the great pleasure of working with Mr Calloway and Mr Fayard Nicholas before they passed on. Two wonderful gentlemen that left a great legacy that I'm glad is shared on You Tube for posterity.
Amazing to watch! This performance by the brothers absolutely blows me away every time I see it...to me, it's the greatest dance routine ever put on film! It's especially mind blogging to see them do the splits over & over! THANK YOU for sharing this classic routine for us to enjoy! The dancing world will never see the likes of their unique talents again. CHEERS! :)
WOW!! He even amazes himself!! I love his reaction to some of those wonderul moves he and Harold executed perfectly!! Such talent- Love to the NIcholas Brothers and God Bless!!
If you like this(I don't see how anyone wouldn't) become a fan of the Nicholas Brothers on Facebook. There are less than 144 of us and that's gross(little joke there).
"And Thankyou "-NICHOLAS BROS.For such a great preservation of history in the art form ,that you basically originated /as a team , We all can learn so much today ,from the Masters if we take the time to respect........
Fayard Nicholas was so adorable! I'm so glad that they lived long enough to enjoy all of the respect and honor that they truly deserved. They were true pioneers, who really knew how to push the envelope in entertainment. God bless them.
i learned that it was done in one take and that even he could not believe some of the stuff he was doing amazing pure talent! esp with all those splits owe
The only thing I learned from this clip is that the entire routine was done in one take. That's a valuable piece of information, I only wish the rest of his comments were more illuminating, not mere exclamations.
I posted the entire routine. Click on my name for it.
You've got to cut Fayard a little slack. He was probably in his 80's when this was done.
In addition as you know these were genius performers. A genius performer will have a hard time explaining what they did because they just have such an inordinate amount of talent that it's more or less natural to them.
It's like the great hitter trying to explain hitting or the great natural singing talent talking about singing. They just DO IT.
The Nicholas Brothers were just simply amazing dancers and entertainers. The greatest! Where did you find this interview. I would love to see it all. Thanks for posting.
1 take...amazing! Thank you!
