my tegu crushed the shell in one bite i guess i dont have to worry what kind of snail i feed them? XD theres alot of big juicy black ones near my pond n shell is kinda very fragile but is VERY fat n full of soft meat
@VongolaBrat I don't know how are those black you mention but we have some black ones here that are harder than the rest and although they are not a problem for a tegu, when they swallow the shell it can get stuck or rip something inside so I try to avoid them. =)
@roccet666 Hi! Don't know what kind of snails you have in the States, but the ones shown in my vids are the same they eat in the wild so I don't have to worry. A thing I know for sure is that you have up there roach dealers and they are great for them!
I've seen many videos of your tegu and I must say he is a very nice looking Red. They usualy don't have as much contrast as the B&W, which is why he's so pretty.
I'm just amazed at how well you've tamed him. I have a B&W tegu my self, he's around 8 months old and in hibernation. I was wondering if you have any tips on taming.
Thanks a lot for the comment! About the tips I dont have more than a lot of love and make him always feel confortable, maybe dont give him alive rodents so they dont become agressive but that's all, just patience. =)
Oh Fabian you have brought back to life my Rosie - I have pictures of him in the garden I would love to share with you and Juancho. He would lay on his towel like he thought he was a movie star - he was - mine.
