  • lets all say it together ,,,,, glooooobe -maybe he is dizzy also ,

  • earthquake

  • Good video, just please get a better platform for your camera.

  • Found three of these thing for a buck a piece

  • I have one and was trying to figure out how's to use it XD

  • I can't believe someone threw away that lantern. That's crazy! Since getting it, have you found anything wrong with it that might make someone throw it away? Heck, even if you did it wouldn't matter. You can get all the parts to rebuild the thing directly from Coleman. I can't imagine a reason to throw that away! Lucky you, dude!

  • A very lucky find, I think I'll get one of those for myself.

  • WOW, somebody threw that away?!! Whay a great find for you!

  • @kcatto

Good call. That's what the instructions say. You're less likely to put a hole in it if you burn the mantles first.

  • haha there is a local earthquake, nice video :D

  • Just bought one at a garage sale and didn't know how to light it. Thanks

  • Here we have "Sling-Blade" learns to use a Video Cam

  • you dont need to buy new fual pumps for either one of these lanterns. If you take out the pump you will see a suction cup, on older models a leather strap. If you oil this, the pump will work again. happens to my lanterns every couple years. also you should light it with the globe off that way the globe doesnt get smoke stained. Other than that awesome find and great video.

  • @brokelegstranger, really? interesting, but you would do the same thing :P

  • I love My coleman dual fuel. will be making video soon..

  • @dieselducy, cool, i'll be waiting for it

  • You forgot to pre-burn the mantles!

Anyway... I just got myself one of these dual fuel twin mantel lanterns (coleman model 286 ?) for a quid (buck?) at a bootsale (swapmeet?), It too only needed new mantles and a globe - happy with that find!

  • get a trypod

  • @SuperBomb14, give me 20 bucks and i'll get one :P

  • @SuperBomb14 its tripod

  • me fathers pet name for me was cock breath as a lad

  • @Ramaniac007, does the letters, F.O. mean anything to you, dumbama supporter? he is not taking my van for that scamming shit Cash For Clunkers, he can suck my ford E150 302's tailpipe

  • you sound like forest gump

  • Maybe you can trash find a tripod

  • @cp4056, heh if i'm lucky to find a tripod

  • wow 2 times

  • i bet if you replace the generator it would be 10 times brighter

  • Slingblade

  • not bad !!!!

  • You sound like forest gump! Great Video!

  • Nice fine on that dual fueler.

  • Not nearly shaky enough. Next time could u put the camera on a washer with an uneven load during an earthquake? Jesus Christ.

  • I dont know about that lantern But it should have a striker on it so you dont need the klighterNice fisnd though!!

  • 3:14 it sounds like music instrument in my country #lol

  • camera man's jumpin!

  • to much of a rush when you put the mantels on burn them with a lighter till they burn off

  • oggg, put that camera on another tale or something!

  • A couple of sugestions get a coleman filter funle. This will stop any dirt or water from getting in there and mucking things up. Burn your mantles before you light up the lantern. And since this is a dual fuel and looks a little dim take the gas generator apart and clean it.

  • @northerbrewer That little funnel looks like the walmart / Ozark Trails version of the coleman funnel; it does have mesh screen filter in it.

  • @fratermus

    True.

I have one like it, but it does not have a felt in it like a proper coleman type filer. Felts block water and fine dirt....

  • @northerbrewer Thanks for the correction. I didn't know about the felt.

  • holy camera shake! lol nice find

  • sweet i have a Coleman lantern like that for $5 i just need to put on a new generator

  • nice video the one with the pump prob open the pump up and see if it is lether if it is just soke it is oil of about 5 min than place it back and add a little in the punp it's self put it bake to gether and it should be good the lether ones will last you your hole life =) 5***** nice lanterns i love resoring those A+ 5******

  • i'll check into that, i also got a trash find coleman stove, and to me, it's an antique, because the fuel cap is at the top, not to the side facing the stove, i will get a video of that later on sometimes this weekend

  • awsom

  • @ils360 I've been burning unleaded fuel in regular coleman lanterns for 20 years, never had a problem.

  • @Jwill781 same hear

  • @ils360 Could you be a little more uneducated? Good Lord - "lether" is spelled "LEATHER", "soke" is spelled "SOAK", "to gether" is "TOGETHER", "it's self" is ITSELF", "bake" is "BACK", "hole" is "WHOLE", etc. Your grammar is atrocious as well. Christ, I could spell better in 2nd grade - go back to school and then go home and brush your tooth...

  • @beeroosterm wow your real nice that was a long time ago at 4:00 am so go brush your tooth
