@wormbastard: If you haven't gotten one yet, get it. I got one for Christmas back when they first came out for about 500 and sold it for 300 when I got hard up for cash. Still regret the living shit out of it.
The serial on the back suggests that it was made in 2002/2003.
I have a boss ds-2, basically the same as a ds-1 but I think it sounds quite thin TBH, but on the plus side it cuts through the mix in a band situation very very well!!
I also use a boss mega distortion witch sounds awesome on it's own but just turns into a muddy mess with the band!! :(
I'd like the ds-2 more if it had more gain and a better tone control. Has anyone had any experience with the keeley ds-1 ultra? It could be what I'm
what year is that cyclone? the color is really sharp on it, i like it. Also, I agree with some other people down there, you MAY want to upgrade to the DS1 (by Boss). It has a higher attack and is great to get that "authentic" garage/nirvana rock sound.
grunge pedal is weak cause it was just marketed and labeled "grunge". Just a commercialized item that was cashing in on the REAL thing.. use a ds1 or ds 2
It's a' Digitech Grunge Pedal' in this vid but i've got a, Boss DS-2' and a' Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker' as well! I like the Grunge Pedal best i think!!
It'll be the Digitech Grunge pedal, I have that in front of the amp and have the amp emulating a Fender Twin. They're quite cheap, could probably pick one of those pedals up online for about £35-£45!
Yeah I noticed that on the 'Live at Reading' DVD. Have you used either of them? I think the Hot Rails is hotter than the jb jr but what are the cleans like?
@wormbastard my mate has jb jrs in his jag and hot rails in his mustang, the hot rails are much hotter and have an all round better sound in my opinion
I love it, i've had it a few years now and i still love it to bits!
It's a shorter scale length than other fenders 24 3/4" which suits me fine. The only downside is no humbucker in the bridge but i think i'm gonna swap that one for a stacked Seymoure Duncan JB soon!!! :-D
I used to live in a laundry room myself. Its a wonder I love tis song so much. oh and by the way great job on this song.
