Been using this all year and first time I've ever stuck to on version of windows in years. It is great. I screwed up my hardware SID yesterday and coudn't access anything, couldn't even find my restore points on my computer. After 11 hours googling bad answersI inserted the cd and discovered it had the best recovery options I've ever seen.

XD yeah i havent used vista black ina long time, but i mean tell the people that still use win 2000 to upgrade and theyll tell you "why upgrade when this works for what i use it for?" I on the other hand have switched to a 64 bit vista ultimate on my desktop and have upgraded to mac os x leopard, making my dell inspiron 1525 a hackbook or a hackintosh =D

Since I have Vista Ultimate and Home Premium and I use it for well a Torrent and Gaming and Multi media Pc. Is Vista Black Edition a Update for Previous Editions of vista meaning I can just download this and Upgrade my Home premium or ultimate to black With my old files still on my hard drives?

it has to be a fresh install

i tried what you want to do last time and it ruined my pc...but once i installed it fresh and formated it was the best vista in the world!! i went from vista ultimate x32 and it used 60 to 70 percent of my ram and it was slow...this black edition of ultimate uses 20 to 30 of my ram with all my apps on...its super fast and 20 times better then the original vistas...fresh install has to be done..

I would clean install but Thing Is. I have 750 gigs of HD and Home premium and Ultimate (Pre activated) installed. I have about 300 gigs of Games on my 500 gig hard drive and on my 250 Full of just my crap. So I would have to delete most o fmy games to just intall a vista verson kinda bullcrap. Might do it though since my Vista Ultimate number one onlyd etecting 3 og my 5 gigs of ram and only uses about 1 at max 2 of it on both Home premium and ultimate. Thanks for reply though :)

its not the default, its an extra theme that comes with it. it comes with a lot, but i like that one the most. the default looks like the default theme (or only theme) on reg vista ultimate

si lo que quieres es demostrar que esa version que muestras es f}grafica y bonita sinceramente para mi es muy fea linux en animaciones y en moviemiento de todo tipo de graficos es mucho pero mucho mejor que cualquier version de windows que haya sacado, no me impresiona nada visual de vista apestan para ser sincero solo se desvancen y ya no hacen ni madres en cambio linux tiene una ampliadistribucion y cadaunacon un sin fon de efectos visuales quehacenque el vista se vea como un bebe
