  • They don't mention here that Irving Berlin had just done a similar "greatest hits" movie for Paramount, "Blue Skies", that also starred Fred Astaire. "Easter Parade" is way better, though.

    There still is an actual Easter Parade of hats on Fifth Avenue in New York City. I've actually walked around in it, wearing a special hat.

  • If you ever wanted to know anything accurate about Judy Garland, just look to John Fricke for everything about Judy Garland. He is a dear Man and a friend. I hope John reads this because I HAVE SUCH GREAT respect for this Wonderful writer.. Sal
