I got the powerbreathe ironman and it is not constructed well. It leaks a significant amount of air around the mouthpiece, so the resistance system does not even become engaged. Consequently, either it must be used with the mouthpiece off (uncomfortable and annoying) or the mouthpiece could be glued on, which means it couldn't be washed. It's an obvious design error as there is a molded gap between the components that allows the air to seep through. Pretty crappy. I'm probably going to return it
I have used a powerbreathe as part of a physical training regime based around literally improving the power of my breath, sounds basic and stupid i know. The fact is, that the powerbreathe really does work. if used in the right way doing the right exercises, this little machine is insane at what it does. I always compare it to how I would imagine altitude training if that makes sense. So those who say it hasn't got the scientific evidence to back it up, I'd say don't knock it 'til youve tried it
@TOMSkii - you're a genius. A genius of the douche. I can't help spotting the irony that you called me "retarded" but managed to fit three very basic spelling and grammatical errors in to such a small amount of text.
Show me the evidence. The peer-reviewed, scientific evidence, that is.
Almost completely guff. There's no published scientific evidence to support this device. Unless you're already suffering with weakened respiratory muscles this thing is pointless.
@intermanaut - Dear intermanaut, your statement is incorrect the scientific evidence is readily available, please do your research before you publish.
Might be a stupid question, but do you use it WHILE exercising or just on its own?

your so retarded that naivity is an obligatory non entity in terms of the scale of your retardedness.

I thought this would be a gimmick, but it genuinely actually does work.
I have the "classic" red version, and I wouldn't be without the chap now.
