we are a bunch of sun ra freaks, all met thru library jobs n cheap record outlets in early 70s, saw sunny multi times, band was always cool for autographs so we ALWAYS waited after shows cuz 1 guy always did n now im so glad we did. about 5-7 ppl at the shows, it was easier to find RA FANS
I have met 2. One is I think Pat Patricks ex ;) and a musician who met him in an empty restaurant. But I heard another story of a mexican painter who had sold a painting one night. With the money he baught a saxophone from a beggar. Then he went all the way a long avenue and bumped into 2 big negro guys. And they liked so much the music he was trying to play, they invited him to make a recording.
i feel like an alien on this planet because I feel like I'm the only one who is willing to not believe the stuff I was taught to believe... You know what I mean? All my friends are christian and have the same beliefs their parents had, why don't they explore?! There are an infinite amount of other realities... Guess I'm just extra curious, but sure does make me lonely, but I'm going to work on an organic farm in Hawaii so maybe I'll meet some more cats who
@ppc1989ark i must be an alien since i feel we humans are slaves meant to serve a powerful race. every once in a while ppl are aware of their powers but they get shut off from using them so they have to use paper currency
Want to create their own culture..... none of this hegemonic mainstream stuff that makes you feel worthless and insecure... Sun Ra once said if you go to a tree and try to find two leaves that look exactly the same you will fail because everything is unique.
@HendrixClaptonSRV I met a man today, who lived with Sun Ra for 9 yrs!!!, we had great convo about how Sunny would make sure that the band was taken care of, even if the budget didnt cut the grade for the month!,
