about the "quality" of today's mainstream music, 99% of it is rehashed from the last 15 years of pop radio. 1% of it is new or innovative in any way, and that's not worth my time. Sure there are indie bands and others (I play prog/black metal) doing their own thing, but none can touch the complexity, expressiveness, and flair of old jazz. myself included... I WANT TO REVIVE THIS MUSIC FOR YOUNG KIDS! They need to learn about "real" US history...through music!
