Just an opinion, but driving that same road, i think i'd get more enjoyment from a standard one that was less bumpy, quieter and a way less stressful drive.

@Zlyzer even more true looking at the last month or two. I have a saxo vts(same engine as 106gti) and only 2 days ago i had to replace a £100 Michelin tire thanks to a pot hole. They're 195/45/15 standard size/wheels. God knows the £££ if it was a 17" and 40profile, and if the alloy gets damaged too!!! Lol, anyway see if you can video a good run somewhere, would love to hear those throttle bodies doing their thing!

What a dull video. Learn to edit it, 9:55 of nothing much is pretty dull. What power did this make, or has it not been mapped yet? - just didn't look like it was running right - didn't look any quicker than standard gti imo (judging by when you were changing gear) and often you were changing up really early.

ive got a 106 gti, infact im onto my second. Both have left 172s for dead. Dont be fooled by 106s, overall power is fuck all. power to weight is where it counts! Plus there arent many front wheel drive cars out there that out handle 106's.

lol anyone who can't hear the ITB's is deaf! I've been in a thottle bodied VTS (same engine) and this is how they sound! And as for the "doesn't look fast comments".... you can't gauge speed by video very well. My mates turbo clio 172 doesn't look fast on video but when you're in the passenger seat you need some toilet paper when you get out :)

Honestly it was a gti not long after this my mate found out the bottom end was knackered ! so yeah it was not as fast as it should of been !

No way is this a GTI and no way what ever engine it has is it on throttle bodies!! Theres no pull in it... Doesnt particually have a nice sound.

Mabye who ever posted the video thought it was a GTI? mabye a quick silver? XS? 1.1?
