It explained what happened to the others in the game manual that comes with the game, but I don't remember what it said.. that was over 10 years ago but I'm pretty sure a couple of them died including the really big strong one.
I liked the direction FF2 was going in; I mean the weaponry , the story, the enemies, all an improvement. If they would have proved the cqc, lighting, brought back all of the characters (or new ones), the co-op gameplay, and crappy camera angles we would probably all have fonder memories
@suddnstar no actually it is streets of rage they just changed the name and characters because the people that sega worked on with it wanted to put sor on rival systems and sega didnt want that and was going to sue them so they changed everything about the game
This game really was great, I know most people dislike it... but I played this one first before I played the first, I actually preferred this one.. believe it or not. It was MUCH harder, and I always do love my difficulty in my games, it's what makes me come back to play it again!
@suddnstar I agree, but that was part of the difficulty that I enjoyed. The sense that "If I die here, I'm going all the way back!". There was a save point halfway through each level too, not to forget.
@suddnstar I agree, but that was part of the difficulty that I enjoyed. The sense that "If I die here, I'm going all the way back!". There was a save point halfway through each level too, not to forget.
@suddnstar I agree, but that was part of the difficulty that I enjoyed. The sense that "If I die here, I'm going all the way back!". There was a save point halfway through each level too, not to forget.
I never beat this game but in one of the screen shots on the back of the case didn't they show Smasher in blue overalls. Can anyone tell me who that was if not Smasher?
I loved that game. Dunno why but it's one of my all time favorite. I liked trashing everything around me, the weird environment sounds instead of the music, the overall ambience. And I didn't like the first one. I was startled when I found out about how bad reviews this game had.
@draconpost I'm not gonna say I hate this game, but I'm not gonna say I love it either. Sure it's fun and long, but sometimes the stages go on for too long. The absence of the other three characters is also a disappointment. I also never really understood the story. Like what happened? Did Hawk go into a time machine or what?
@suddnstar Yuo're kinda right - the story was weird and now when I think of it the game taught only about the corporation. No other characters, only the factories/labs/jails and enemies. Back in the days I didn't care about stuff like that. I still like that game the way it is. The fighting system was good (The Devil Within in Tekken 5 is almost the same stuff without weapons) but I liked the environment and the weird ambience the most.
I think i'm one of the few 15 year old today who actually played FF1 and 2
i gotta say back at the time i loved FF1, it was one of the best games ever but i also liked FF2, i was to young to understand that the game was completely changed but i played it anyway thinking i would get another FF experience, i actually liked the game and went pretty far but since i had no Memory card, i'd always lose my progress, Funny i keep imagining my old games with the latest grafix ;P
@TrueCoolGuy I'm surprised to hear that someone so young would be into these games. I first played the original Fighting Force back in like 1999, and played the second one not long afterwards. I wanted the first, but the people at Wal-Mart said it had been discontinued. The only one available was the second. I was disappointed by the second one, since it little to do with the first one.
@suddnstar The first one was obviously the best, i dunno why Beat em up games such as FF1 and Gekido disappeared, I wish they make a remake of these 2 games but with todays Graphics, I was introduced to Gaming very early, I had an Atari :P
I've seen alot of consoles and I've seen gaming (in general) crawl its way from an "Activity to Pass Time" to the Huge Company it is today, I'm grateful that i was there when gaming began cuz now i have more respect for Games
@TrueCoolGuy I've never heard of the game "Gekido", but I'll look it up. I've been gaming since the mid-90's, so I'm something of a long time gamer too. The first console I ever played was the Sega Genesis way back in the day. It's amazing how games have changed over the past 15 years. Someday we might even be able to be inside of the game, as a form of virtual reality or something like that.
@suddnstar Thats something i have actually thought about and i have realized, that from the beginning, the gaming industry had revolved around two things, The Console/System and The Controller.
Gaming to me will always be a relaxing day on the couch with a controller in my hand and some awesome game. The Kinect is a step forward to the virtual reality gaming your talking about and to me it looks Childish, I mean Pretending your hand is a Gun? What are we 5?
@TrueCoolGuy Pretending your hand is a gun is pretty lame. I'd rather have a controller that is a gun, that would make it more realistic. I've tried the Kinect, and so far there are no games that appeal to me. I'm not really into dancing games, and sports games. What would really be awesome would be if there were a fighting game for the Kinect. You would tire yourself quickly doing all those fighting moves.
@suddnstar Check out Child of Eden for the XBox Kinect, its supposed to be the game that is meant to be played with the Kinect. But honestly it just looks like a Cluster fuck of random Shit added in and u have to control a weird cross-hair and shoot the random things (So i guess its a Shooter) but seriously anyone calling that game art or the future of gaming is a Fucking Retard in my eyes
Also the flickering lights and vibrant colors are said to give u seizures :D
@suddnstar I can see why it wasn't very popular. I mean where's the steroids guy, and the kickass ladies? Man... I don't think the name "Fighting Force 2" is very appropriate. It should be called something else, because as you said, its nothing like the original!
@joaovictor1994 I think they should have just made this game a spin-off. Instead of calling it "Fighting Force 2" they could have called it something like "Fighting Force Tactics" or something like that. Because most people were mislead into thinking that this was actually a sequel to the first, when in fact it isn't.
no better than the first one...not at all i liked the first one and im a girl...this isnt even more than one player?!what happened to smasher, mace and alana???!!!i dont know why im even watching this actually!XDi have almost never been interested in fighting games like seriously why did i all of a sudden put fighting force on youtube?XD
@pokemonfreak12100 I don't know what happened to those characters, but I do know that Edios made a mistake my not adding them. There is no clear explanation of what happened to them either. I always liked this game.
Some scenes would freak me out with fear of heights.
I had no trouble getting to all levels, except one that drove me nuts.
Where the dinosaur like creature & 4 elevators, never did figure that one out.
Now Im bummed, the game disc is missing.
This Game should be remade in HD for 52" screen.
Philscbx 7 months ago
@Philscbx You're one of the few people who actually likes this game, alot of other people talk about how much they hate it.
suddnstar 7 months ago
@suddnstar
I'm not sure why some don't.
This is my style of FPS with point blank kills vs the BS on some games where 7000 rounds mean nothing.
I have to admit some levels, getting lost trying to find the right door can be frustrating.
Have to keep your internal GPS going at all times. I used to keep notes, lol.
Seeing how some navigate compared to how I do is cool.
Thanks for the Show.
