I was disappointed that Tamara wasn't shown in the end. I thought that the fact that The William Adama's half-sister was a predecessor to his cylon enemies was terribly interesting. It sucks that Tammy's fate wasn't given though Kevin Murphy did say that she became the basis for the number eights. That I find even more interesting seeing as the Sharon cylons had so much drama with the Commander. I wonder how he'd have responded if he knew Sharon was essentially the descendant of his half-sister
This show is kind of like Firefly it got cancelled before it's time and hopefully fans will ressurect the show like Family Guy. They should have gotten rid of Stargate Universe because that show was horrible. Loved the ending to it and getting the dvd to it. Loved the Shirt Matt was wearing :D So Say We All!!
Hey Matt and Nat, I don't know if you heard, but guess who's coming to dinner on this week's episode of Sanctuary -- that's right, Caprica's own Polly Walker who plays Clarice will be in the episode entitled "Hollow Men" which airs on Friday, Dec. 17th at 10 pm EST. I'd absolutely LOVE to know what you think of her in the episode compared to her performance in Caprica. PLEASE let me know if you see it.
@SereneFire88 James Pizzinato who played the cute geek boy scientist guy that we all know and loved from Caprica will also be in Sanctuary this season, supposedly in episode 13.
just saw the finale and think they did a great job with this show. I wish it were renewed because it looked really interesting for season 2. I wish they sped up the first half of season 1 and got to the good stuff sooner
@desiportal - This show just had too much gray - matter at work. The suits in the studios underestimate science - fiction fans by assuming that we'll be happy to see spacesships, BIG explosions, ray - guns, holographic displays & transporters. I watch some shows that just have the gadget, gimmick or weird phenomenon of the week - ex. " Eureka ", " WH 13 ", but I like a little more than that.
I think all across the viewership there is a building lack of interest in shows with long story arcs. People just prefer to get their weekly fixes and move on. As a result you get most police procedurals dominating the top end of the rating spectrum. It's the same with Eureka and it's 'an event per episode' format. It isn't even science fiction. It's just science-fiction flavored social awkwardness.
I hope to see some of the characters from this show in the new battlestar galactica series or in a flashback or something, or some trace left from them.
the hand signals by the cylons threw me off too. But it makes sense that they would be designed to do that for the situation in which they might have to fight side by side with humans, maybe?
Also re: Tamera i actually completely forgot about her. She wasnt even in the last two episodes, was she? Its weird, its like even the writers got tired of her. They could have easily had her sitting with Zoe in the church and that would have made some kind of sense. Bizarre.
The last ep of Caprica was fantastic. I agree with you guys that if they had only planned the series better they could have got rid of the pointless filler material and it would probably be huge by now. The last ep of Season 1 could have been the mid season climax. Still I was very happy with the end anyway, if anyone remembers the final episode of ABC's Invasion you'll know how bad it would be if Caprica ended like that.
I loved how Caprica finished it hinted at such a great story yet untold. One slight note though guys I think Clarice there was speaking to cylons in V-World (she says something like "out there in the real world...") so it might have been Avatar Zoe or projection/angel Zoe sitting there in the sermon.
I have to wonder though in Blood & Crome who from caprica might still be around. Are Zoe, Clarice or Lacy leading or "spiritually guiding" the cylons in there war?
I am really disappointed that the Tamera storyline went nowhere. I liked her character and it seemed like she was in the plot of the show for some reason, we just didn't know exactly what was going to happen with her. And I would have like to seen what her existence was all going to lead up to. I guess I was hoping to maybe see her and the actual avatar Zoe (not the Angel) in their own unevil mission (unlike STO) to spread the truth onto the universe. Perhaps the creators of the Final Five.
This might not be the end of Caprica, if you are in the U.S. see the last five Episodes when they era and buy the DVD, if the show makes enough on DVD sales there is a very good chance it will be renewed. Get vid, I want to see more. Can you do you first thoughts of blood and chrome.
@ThatNerdJStone Have you hear of Family Guy, it was canned not once but twice and is still on tv. No network will keep a show dead if they think it can still make money. This is all about the Benjamin for the network, so help if you want the show saved, it's a long shot, but a long shot is better then no shot.
their complaint about the name stuff is invalid, cause Lee's middle name is Joseph, you learn that in Season 4 when he becomes President.

@Jerry113 They were marine bots sold to the caprican military so of couse they work with humans. The graystone mentions they are marines.

Ah, in that case my idea of Tamera being there wouldnt have made sense :). Good catch though, that was a small scene easily missed.
