nice touch with the tied-up psychopath not showing signs of panic/anticipation of pain like real psychopaths in the electric shock tests they were given
Not bad, but it still looks and sounds like a home video. you need a boom, and better lighting, and if you are going to use a cheap camera at least adjust it in post so it looks better. its a shame because you done all the hard bits, it just the simple techniques you need to learn
@steviegbcool Thanks. It's mainly a budget issue - shooting time and eqpt. This was my 1st go at writing, producing, directing, editing. But we made elementary mistakes like setting monitor brightness too low then compensating with over-exposure. The industry is obsessed with shampoo commercial appearances, but for me that's the least important thing. Clerks, Eraserhead, Rec, Blair Witch were all good but looked awful. If appearance doesn't spoil atmos / story then I'm happy at my budget level.
Hey man, this clearly has potential but if I were you I would seriously change the aspect ratio, preferably to 2.35:1. I personally think it'll make it look a lot better but at the least it should make it look professional enough to keep these trolls of ur ass.
film is so bad, i dont care how what budjet u made it,thats your problem film suks, please tell me from where did you learn film making, dont tel me u have done a crash course for 3months in film making!!! for thriller u dont have lighting sense editing is so bad,u used camera mike fr sync sound i guess,no boom, sound is not given any importance, editing is so bad,a good story needs to b told very nicely,ur screenplay knowledge is horrible, please watch more movies learn the art of screenplay thanku
You're obviously a very vile person and a typical youtube troll, judging by your un-called for hostility and the comments others have posted on your channel. Learn to spell and use grammar and people may take you a little more seriously, but more urgently ... get a personality transplant.
@elmatto777 do u know film making y do ppl liike u even enter this industry awesome directing u crap shit,u know film making by ne chance, lighting was poor, editing was so bad, frames were not set great,no creativity in screenplay, sound was so horrible,every1 knows story but story telling is very difficult, please watch some better movies on youtube some in my list then see this one again im a critic with 4yrs course in film making dont ask me what have i done,i wont reply to ur silly questions.tc
I've got it at roughly £3000, but most of that was for purchase of high spec PC for editing, camcorder and various other bits of equipment that were also used on my other films. All cast and crew were voluntary. Paid £150 for the main location for 3 days. Other costs included travel expenses for actors, feeding everyone for six days, make-up materials etc.
This is a cool film. I haven't finished watching the entire film but I enjoyed what I've seen so far. I especially enjoyed your shots of the woods. I also wondered what the significance of the water is. Perhaps, he drowned someone. I guess I'll have to finish it.
The screenplay was already feature length to begin with. So for this short version we just chopped off the first and last third and made a few minor changes.

@RealRacer69 Trolls go with the territory. Even classics like The Shining, The Exorcist etc get slated now and then. Shining was 4:3 ratio.

@RealRacer69 Oh and thanks for the feedback :)

Asking what films you've made is a silly question, is it? Don't worry, there's no need to reply because you've only got one thing to offer.

nice moody intro.
if you had your way, and were to make it a feature length film...and you had more freedom for casting, who would you cast?
vectorboy101 3 years ago
I'd be very happy to use the same cast again. These actors were great to work with.
robag88 3 years ago
Would you find it hard to bulk out a screenplay to make it feature length at all?

or did you should I say?
