As has been stated below...Brisbane is one of the most popular teams in the comp, let alone in Queensland. And since 9 always shows one firday night match live for Queensland viewers...it explains why its always Brisbane. It's all about the ratings AWF...which is why despite my Eels doing woefully this year...they were continually given Friday night games. They are always one of the highest rated matches when on free to air. I agree the Warriors deserve a better shake though

I've just got a bit of a problem with them promoting themselves as the premiere NRL network when FOX is obviously superior. The thing is.........I probably wouldn't care if it was the Warriors getting 18 out of 24 matches broadcast :)
Typical that Brisbane get 18 games on FTA and when they played the Warriors in round 22 they weren't shown! Channel 9 sucks.
I can't really complain about the Raiders though, we were atrocious this year and didn't deserve anything else however even when we are playing wlll they don't show us.
@Sean4670 Brisbanes support of rugby league is 2nd to none. They're amazing. Therefore, they don't really need Channel 9 over-promoting them. They hardly showed any Cowboys games despite the Cowboys being entrenched in the top 4 for a huge portion of the season.
They hardly showed any Cronulla games...........and I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm glad they didn't.

its because of the time delays.. canberra and new zealand times are very different to sydneys.. which is harder to broadcast them live.. broncoes mostly are the second game on friday.. again.. coz of the time delays.
@houchii07 That sounds true but.....the only 3 Warriors games they showed this year were Warriors home games. They could easily broadcast the Warriors or the Raiders when they are playing away games in Sydney but they choose not to.

Obtaining broadcast rights should be about more than just making money for the broadcaster. It should also be about promoting rugby league in Australia.
I wish more warriors games were on 9, they are a great team 2 watch, but instead every week they put the Broncos on wtff?? 9 has no idea, no one like watching the broncos each and every friday night

All true Dave, And that's the way it will be until channel nine controls the broadcast in NZ, because television control the game. They will not show warriors games because there is no money in it
all good bro, we dominated the biggest day on ch9 the grand final,had three games in the 1 day!! the media here doesnt have any access to the warriors and im glad, its actually an advantage 4 our boys.. f@#$ ch9.
Good point bro, myself being a kiwi and i barrack for the Roosters i do notice a huge disdain for the Warriors obviously frowned upon by the majority of the NRL.
I wish the storm played more friday night games so hopefully they don't [lay the kiwis lol

However the warriors deserved way more TV time too.
