Somebody can tell me if she sings it in the right tone? i need to learn this aria. i find it with Cecilia Bartoli but i don't know how it fits with my voice...i'm soprano.
@MelWolff The thing with singing is that you can never match someone's tone. That was my problem when I started my studies in college. I kept trying to imitate my favorite singers, however, you have to understand your own tone and work with it. I have a darker tone, and while trying to imitate some of my favorites, I was on the slow path to ruining my voice by trying to be way brighter than I'm capable of doing. Talk with your teacher about it.
@TubaHero17 I too had to completely work my technique after trying to imitate dramatic/dark bass baritone voices. By grad school, I had to return to the 24 Italian Art songs and it took me three years before I was able to sing in public again. Thankfully I found my own voice after a lot of hard work and swallowing of pride. In the end, what emerged was a light high lyric baritone, the exact type of voice I didn't want to have. But, you get what you get and make the best of it.
Anyone who is studying this I have a video with the piano accompaniment only it is a good learning tool. It is the orange video on my page or in the response box :) Thank you for singing!
@paternostro63 well you should know that in ancient times people sang int he pitch that fitted better to their voice, and it still happens today, actually you can find this arie antiche in three different pitches so all voices can sing them

Lo que hago yo es escuchar más rápido o más despacio, según sea el caso. La táctica me funciona a las mil maravillas. :)
