Yes, there are so many occasions in life when we bitterly regret not having our father around to enjoy something or the other which we know he would have enjoyed.
@sgtalageri Actually I Don't Regret Not Having My Dear-Departed Dad Physically Not Around Anymore, For Thankfully & Wisely So I Accept That, As We ALL Know & Should Accept, The Fact Of Our Limited Stay Here In Order To LET GO Off The "Physical Possessiveness" Most Tend To Hold On To Dearly With Their Loved Ones. I Feel Humbly Thankful To Not Feel That Way. On The Contrary; I Just Feel Thankfully Blessed To Have Had Such a Musical/Humorful/Sweet Humanitarian Person Like Him For a Dad!:) 2 Oct.10'
@sgtalageri Having said that, please know I do appreciate your kind thoughtful concern. Most might be, as you did too, not quite knowing my thoughts "on my being able to & choosing to continue to enjoy & celebrate my dear-departed sweet pa's life & legacy beyond his physical presence here. :) I find this positive perspective of looking at life, & the inevitable death of a loved one, as a wonderful & wise way to cop with any sense of physical loss. Life should & does go on, after all.:) 2 Oct.10
@sgtalageri Oops! Typo error there. :) Cope. Not cop, as left out the letter 'e' in it, at the tail end of my statement. Changes the whole meaning, doesn't it, just one letter. lol. :)
My dear departed sweet pa would've loved this!:) - & to know am getting to thoroughly enjoy the listening pleasure of this beautiful vintage Bombay song - that he sang among many Punkaj Malik/KL Saigal/MannaDe music Gems to my delight as a young kid at the dinner table encouraging me to sing with him with glee - on the now indispensable Youtube!:-) would've just tickled him with that philosophic sense of joy!:-) In goes this into my Playlist "Gems for Sweet Pa" dedicated to him.Thanks!:)29/9/10
