That is one sweet truck. Thanks for the "ride." I love the roar of the engine and the creaks and groans of the body. Just watching this, I can almost feel being jostled around. Try going rip-roaring through an upscale gated community with it! lol. Great video and keep her runnin'!
Oh wow! I still get the shakes whenever I hear that old motor in my head! I'm in a semi dream state and I can visualize a few mountains and a dirt or gravel incline...and in comes the roar of that engine! I remember an old room mate of my late grandmother's had an old pick up as seen in this video and I can still remember what the inside looks like! Good God was it ever noisy inside!
i just bought a 48 loadmaster with dump bed sitting since 99 but fired right up i've been working on it sanding and getting ready for paint and gotta get the breaks working
I love this video, felt like i was riding along with ya. I've spun a wrench or two myself, and i love old cars and trucks! the "take it around the block" ride is always exciting, never know what might happen! thanks again! rick aka "verne"
just amazing on how an old vehicle runs forever and rely on nothing but mechanical moving parts that are easy to fix unlike new cars today. i grew up with loose rattleing doors on trucks as well as rust spots. also that unique sound of that engine.
THANKS! I agree. I appreciate any good product no matter where its made, and yes, ofcourse I am proud of my American cars! Everybody should take pride in their countries products!!!
@TheBowerybum I love it just the way it is. I drove it about 30,000 miles like that and I loved every minute of it. With 12 volts going to the 6volt amber cab lights it really lights up at night and makes the hood amber glow. It was really something to earn plenty of money hauling cars with this long paid off old work horse.
@TheBowerybum ...yep, and if I run short on money I can hop in it and haul more junk cars. I still get calls from car dealers asking if I would like to haul off their junk trade ins and back lots, plus people still call me to haul junk cars out of yards, but I work too many hours at a boring but good job. No job will ever be as fun as working in that old truck! Every day was different and friends would beg to ride with me for a day hauling junkers from all over town. GOOD TIMES!!!
Greetings! I from россии! The old technics is very interesting! Not really they at you simply stand in the complete set and to whom are not necessary? Whether there is for them an owner!? Documents? Has seen all video how they decay - as a matter of fact they on the move? I hope for the answer!
Yeah, I can't stand not being able to make any substantial 63 impala videos lately. I hope to make some soon, have to get time off from work first. I have trunk metal that needs to be replaced, and I have already bought the paint, but lately I have been getting offered more money for the car just the way it is, than I may get for it when I'm finished??? Many like the way it looks now, but I do have to replace some metal regardless.
Imagine giving this old priceless beauty to Cash for Clunkers! HELL NOOOO!!!! Keep 'er going, she drives great, I wish I had an old truck like that :D
Well, this truck was a fully restored, shiney, 1st place show winner, but then I wanted a rat rod so I spent bunches of money having it made to look like a rusty old rat rod, just like this millionare I know did to his shiney 34 Ford, after spending 20 grand, it know looks like a barn find 34. I wanted to be just like him....lol
i'm 17 and that's got to be the best looking/sounding truck i've seen in awhile thanks for posting!
