the last years ive been listening this kind of music, im 22 and these month i started to listen the beatles more than before and i just LOVE IT!!!!!!!is such a great band!i love them!i listen their music all the time :Dand i sing it everytime!with my boyfriend, we both sing tha songs in a karaoke...is the besst!!!!!
Y do ppl get on here and argue about what John Lennon was thinking when he wrote his songs like the saying jai guru deva I'm sure if he wanted ppl to know what it meant then he would have just came out and said it or maybe he just doesn't want anyone to know maybe it was something personal no one will ever know what was going through this great musician and song writers head when he wrote any of his songs who cares they have meaning only in where u inturpret the lyrics not what he was saying so
Hey guys i don't listen to the beatles but i'm trying to give them a try. can someone give me a good song to listen to, because i haven't really liked anything so far...
@gdogvibes1 I'm not a Beatles fan too (actually, I listen to Punk music so...) , but I really like "When I'm sixty-four" from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
@Izdigger5 In fact I'm starting to listen to Beatles now, and Aerosmith too :) It was just to say that I usually listen to a very different kind of music and that it's a bit difficult to change radically genre like I'm doing
for everyone asking jai guru deva om means hail the supreme teacher Om, Om is just like a mantra that u add, its a symbol of spirituality in hinduism. now can i have a thumbs up?
Jai gurudev mean its actually hindi/sanskrit jai means hail guru means teacher dev is god this means hail teacher dev is fr more respect because in india the status of teacher is above god (btw indian beatle fan ) love their music
I honestly dont care what language it is,if its the Beatles it rocks, and because its the Beatles its universal,it shouldnt matter if we are all here enjoying it!
On October 9th we will all watch "Imagine" in honor of the greatest singer ever's birthday. Let's give him the best birthday present ever: the highest viewed video on YouTube!! Let's give him what he deserves and what Justin Bieber does not deserve to have!
Copy and paste to all John lennon/beatles videos and all music videos let's get this noticed quickly!
Nothing makes me smile more than the fact that out of the 20 thousand people who heard this, only 1 person disliked it....the world isn't completely evil
I swear I have such problems.I stay up at night thinking way too much, usually about The Beatles, so if I cant "calm my mind" (yeah I know it sounds akward) then I put this or Golden Slumbers on and I pass out. ;D
I feel like making an unofficial music video of this song; it starts with a shot of someone lip-syncing the song but there are a lot of crazy camera effects like it looks like I'm walking in a circle loop (ie walking on a small planet shot and in an infinite loop) and it the camera pans out seeing that it's just a simple trick using a hamster wheel and a camera taped to the hamster wheel. It continues by flipping around aimlessly in Space. And you see brilliant colors as you watch the world End.
the correct spelling is jai guru dev om..... is the name of maharishi mahes yogi who was the and will be a guru master in transcendental meditation which is a wonderful technique that the beattles took and the song is dedicated to this two masters, the both name are in Sanskrit and coming from the ancient Veda knowledge.
@xlexbabiix are you really that stupid? "Jai guru deva om" is clearly not in french. it doesn't sound like french at all. those words are in some indian or hindu language...
@nutterbudder3000 Im Indian and 'Jai Guru Deva' means Giving Thanks to the Lord Above in Hindi/Sanskrit and this was introduced the beatles when George harrison embraced Indian spiritualism eventually John followed and wrote this song. They actually visited Rishikesh and Himalayas in India but Paul and Ringo Abandonded the faith and Left to England. George and john are the only one who embraced them till the end. It is a fact.
@predatorinstincts You are absolutely correct! It's nice to read that somebody knows his stuff. After hearing this song for years, and loving the words, and the melody, I looked up what those words meant, and found exactly your definition. I am currently reading a book called Lennon Revealed and just read about his journey to Rishikesh. Fasinating!
