I've always loved Blur, & Damon is indeed a hotty.
But from a live performance point of view - they have definately improoved with age.
Saw them 1st time when they played the BIC in Bournemouth in the 90s, & although I enjoyed it I remember thinking - Blood hell, he can't sing live.
Saw again Glasto 98.
But this year Glastonbury 09, absolutely blew me away - an amazing set, the crowd was huge, Damon & the band were on top form, the atmosphere was fantastic, and my mate & I went nuts :0) Classic!
I totally agree with you. This performance was good but the material from '09 was much better - absolutely kicking renditions of the songs with incredible high energy that reminds me of The Who live in their '68-'78 period. Blur are indeed getting better with age, at least in a live setting.
Infact,, what we need is the Stereophonics to headline this event,, eh,, a band with real talent,, im sorry but this guy cant sing,, my god,, what a row,
