@streetLAkings wow interesting, I did not know that! He has been by far the best off season move the Devils made. He is the prototypical defensive stay at-home d-man. I like that he is very discipline as well. He is Phaneuf physically, with no offensive upside, and with how many shots he blocks he is like a goalie.

The only reason volchenkov isn't nomiated for the Norris is cuz the NHL is stupid. The best d-man award should go to the person who play the BEST D. Green doesn't play D neither does Keith , they both can put up points. Doughty has a reason he plays defence. A defencemen's offensive ability shouldn't matter when it comes to the norris trophy.
