  • No one would think the "old nissan" would break down.. this is why this video is so bullshit. The toyota would clap out way sooner

  • Let the towed vehicle stop you .Signal it by tapping your brakes a couple of times JUST TAP .That will keep tension on your strap and it wont get under a tire

  • Whats with the teeth Shaun? Fuck man, a bit of SBS going on there (sister brother sex) You know nothing Shaun so stop pretending. See you in Birdsville wannabe...

  • I enjoy my time in the bush too, but I'm not sure what that has to do with driving off-road?

  • is the guy in this the same guy who made a video entry about his GB galant an attempt to get a position on the Top Gear Australia, looks the same, just stupid boofy hair in this one?

  • could some explain why the towee should have their ignition on?

    thanks

  • Steering lock.....

  • @kumquatsta im going to say to keep ur gears from going dry and locking up.

  • @kumquatsta Its so you can use your indicators, lights, horn and/or cb radio. any electrical equipment that could aid in the towing.

  • @kumquatsta ditto on the steering lock, or you could end up like this:

    /watch?v=7tBybAlYC3M

Most vehicles also have an "Off-Unlocked" position, but you cannot trust people to know how to put it there, so if you just tell them "On", they are more likely not to mess up.

  • LoL toyota is always towing Nissan :P~

  • you should always attach hooks with the point facing up!! not like shown in this vid

if the strap becomes loose then snaches, the hook can disengage, if the piont is facing up then it will be directed toward the ground, not up and at the other vehicle..

  • Two things:

1, I wouldn't go "out" with an IFS rig. Play too hard and you're guaranteed to be towed home. IFS = fun to service out in the middle of nowhere, better bring the tool shed!

And 2: Wrong strap. If the hooks break you're gonna launch a whatever steel is left on the strap like a slingshot. Use the looped ends straps, and if you have to D shackles. They are made better and have a way higher rating than open end hooks and wont come off in multi reverse/ snatch situations.

  • IFS = independant front suspension ??

thats crazy talk.. you stuck in the 70's ???

I have never broke an axle with my toyota and i have LOCKERS front and rear...

never snapped a CV joint ....

    just not true anymore.

  • @F0ckUtoob

    2) actually he has the correct strap. He is using a tow strap for towing. He also specifically mentions that if they vehicle was stuck, he would have to use a different strap to recovery it first.
