Talk about recycleing we had a pinto back in the 70s i think moms was orange and believe it or not someone pulled out in front of her. Was a 4 on the floor was a great little car we were lucky no one ever rearended us. Would you share what you paid for your rig? How did the RTE 66 MRCS go? I got a camper but dont have a tow unit I am too cheap to pay that level of fuel but the camper cost $2K if i need to move it I will rent hurricane is only reason to move. Cheaper to rent motel drive prius.
@cdltpx I found the camper on Craigslist for $650 and have a few thousand + into the Pinto. The Route 66 trip was a blast! 1,400+ miles round trip and the only problem I had was I kept losing gas caps! (long/funny story)
@cookieboystoys We lost some too they didn't attach them to the car back then and it was easy to forget that. Glad that was the only problem you had that is a nice little trip. I got mine from craigslist too I saw a really neat item on CL it is a pontoon boat with outboard and a structure on top $3K. When you consider 3K for a boat and a place to live there are so many jobs on the water that you can get and ride a bike right back to your home. Land they want too much $ to camp.
I'm thinking to paint mine off white... I have a few Pinto's that could tow this and they are all different colors. It's a great little trailer, for 2 years I kept an eye out for something just like this. Almost bought one of them motorcycle trailers but just not what I wanted.
I saw yours, it looks good too. When I saw the trailer I had to get it, a perfect match for the Pinto. If all goes well this weekend the car and trailer will be going 1,400 + miles round trip to Springfield, IL for the Route 66 Mother Road Car Show. September 25-27th
