Subaru AWD commercial

I wish Subaru had an "Eco" button in their USA cars so that they would run in FWD mode if you knew that road conditions were good and you want more economy. Don't get me wrong, I think their AWD system is great, but Subaru is going to have a very tough time getting their MPG high enough to met the new standards they have to meet by 2016, 2020 and onwards.

I think they are finally starting to put in Direct Injection and CVT, next will hopefully be start/stop technology and hybrids.

Well, you know - Subaru did used to make FWD cars in North America. They only got popular because of the whole, "AWD standard on every car".

They've been making FWD cars in other parts of the world though. It's not uncommon to see several subaru models here in Japan that are only FWD...

I sure hope they keep all their cars in North America AWD.

You hate the new look compared to that of the cop magnet that screams pull me over Evolution models? I rather have a car that has more grip on all four wheels with snow tires in the snow than a crashed Mitsubishi with a crappy AWD system. I rather have a car that good reliability on all model line-ups. I rather have dull looking, but more spacious soccer mom look-a-like that doesn't attract attention hatchback as a car.
