  • *cough* DISGUISES = SELF PORTRAITS whaaaaaat?........

  • John's like: Oh God what did Sherlock just do again?

  • I wish he was holding his hand on my back, not Molly's....

  • Lol, the way he says gay reminds me of my cousin saying 'uhm, you look pretty gay to me, ruben' i even recorded that because it was so hilarious hahahah XD

  • I love the look on Jim's face at the end of this, when he's saying goodbye. This is just my take on it, but it almost looks like disappointment. Like he was pretty sure he would fool Sherlock, but the fact that he actually did was a bit of a let-down. His great enemy tricked by some product and underwear. It looks to me like Moriarty was expecting better. It's lovely. He is lovely. This whole show is AMAZINGLY lovely.

  • I didn't really like that scene at first, and when Moriarty is first really introduced I was like 'That guy from before? Lame'. But then Moriarty grew on me to an insane degree, and now this scene is revealed for what it truly is - a masterpiece of creepy.

  • @ReijiAoeGirl666 ya true "is tht a British browning l9a1 in your pocket or are u just pleased to see me ;)" haha he just seems kind of nervous and adorable here

  • @QueenOfHeartsHeart Both. i laughed so hard in that part

  • @orenji196 "he didn't even threaten her life" lol so sweet of him :p

  • Mind BLOWN

  • John has a look on his face like; "Stop looking at my BOYFRAND!"

  • Sherlock- *looks at Jim* Gay.

    Molly- what did u say?

    Sherlock- I'm sorry, um, Hay!

It strange but I think it's the only time exept when he pretended to be attaced when he said 'um'.

  • @Fanofgaara100 Because Sherlock thinks faster than he can speak. He only says "um" when he WANTS to say um, not because he needs to like us ordinary people. :)

  • @TheNeiraaa

    Lol so true :P

  • I had only watched the end of this episode before (so I knew who Moriarty was) so when I was watching the whole "The Great Game" the other day, I seriously (and I can certify that I mean literally) got scared when Jim came through the door! I got scared of a TV-villain... But that maybe says something of how convincing the acting in this serie is!

  • Jim is nevertheless very sweet with Molly XD Even if he was faking. He didn't even threaten her life in the end. He looks very innocent and non-threatening in casual clothes, this was genius. He's genius.

  • Mmmm the 'Jim from IT' v neck tshirt...

  • I love how John just looks away. 'Oh my God, this guy's unbelievable...' XD

  • @TheJokerThieves Benedict is ignoring the goofy, too. He is good with these subtle things...

  • Watching this with my mom was hilarious. And seeing her face when she realized he was Moriarty was even more entertaining.... xD

  • Who could imagine that this innocent guy is the greatest villain of all times?

  • Marry me Sherlock.

  • This is one of the rare opportunities when I can honestly say: Fake and gay.

  • I love Moriarty's face of longing at the end of the clip. I least I think it's longing since he is very gay indeed

  • Oh dear. Sherlock's got a gaydar.

  • Little did Sherlock know that his greatest enemy was right there.

  • At 0:20 john is like "oh me gad waht a loser..."-.-"

  • 0:03 John is like: Back off, sherlock is mine

  • Watched the full scene of this last year, and it's what got me into Sherlock. So funny.

  • Strangest way ever to introduce the main villian.

  • @phanpiggy Also the best as in EVER, nobody expected that he would be the terrible Jim Moriarty. Not even Sherlock x

  • his voice is liquid sex

  • lol john cringing ;) xx

  • John's face at 0:21 - he's like "Sherlock's getting very unsettled by this bloke!"

  • What's with johns face at the very end omfg

  • All I imagine after this scene is Molly breaking up with him. Did she just sit there going 'Jim, we can't carry on, you're a flaming homosexual.'? That would be brilliant to know that Molly Hooper, most timid girl in the programme, broke up with the Napoleon of crime.

  • totally didn't connect the dots until just NOW!

  • this doesn't take much deduction tbh...moriarty's really playing the stereotype here ;) xx

  • Can someone who DOESN'T know Benedict's age tell me how old Sherlock looks? To me, he looks SOOOO young.

  • such an amazing actor... xx

  • Funny how Sherlock knows ALL the signs of gay. And Jim does too. ;)

  • @im3LS3WH3R3 You're seriously applying "it takes one to know one" to the guy who invented the Sherlock Scan? Sure, and he's also a serial adulterer estranged from his drunken sister and has a feckless maid scraping the mud off his boots.

Not that our dear writers are exactly doing anything to discourage the slashers, mind...

  • @Tharkun Um, wait, what about Sherlock Scan and serial adultery and drunken siblings...?

Are you kidding? They're ENCOURAGING them. I personally don't subscribe to the Sheriarty bandwagon, but you know...

  • @im3LS3WH3R3 Basically, one of Sherlock's biggest schticks is detailed analysis involving obscure tiny details on every human topic; I threw in a couple examples from Study in Pink and one from Scandal in Bohemia for good measure.

    There's a Brangelina-style nickname for it? Um.

Well, I'll say this for their sadism when ending seasons: it has most of the fandom firmly fixed on the plot. There aren't many popular writers who can claim that, especially not active ship-teasers.

  • @Tharkun Oh, you were being facetious! I get it, sorry. I took it literally (for a writer, I'm remarkably unable to spot irony in print).

Don't get me started---Johnlock, Mystrade, Sherstrade, Mormor, Johncroft, Mollock, Adlock, should I go on?

It was hard not to be hooked. On Merlin (one of my favourite shows), they often have a sort of epilogue each season, but this one was just... Addictive. Moftiss (they have a joint name too!) are genii.

  • @im3LS3WH3R3 I think Steve Thompson's earned a spot in the portmanteau now. Though I can't think of anything that flows off the tongue.

I'd call Mormol "Mooper", myself. It conveys the treacly nature of their actual dates. (And of all these ships, that one has THE lowest chance of resurfacing, IMO.)

...Man, Molly. I have something I'm dying to say to her, but for some reason that guy who plays Lucentio in Taming of the Shrew keeps kissing me full on the mouth every time I try. ;p

  • @Tharkun Thomoftiss?

Oh, not Mormol (That's Molliarty in my book), Mormor. It's Moran---Colonel Sebastian Moran, who we can only guess is the sniper at the end of the episode, since he's the sniper from the original series---and Moriarty. We don't even know if he exists in this canon yet, and they're already being shipped.

    ...? I'm lost.

  • @im3LS3WH3R3 Kiss Me, Kate reference. Alas, I can't find the clip on YouTube.

  • @Tharkun Mmkay then...

  • I gave you my number... thought you might call...

  • I love how John get a few steps away from Jim at 0:08

  • 0:16 he said hi is so sweet <3

  • I thought he was just some random guy, and then BAM, he's a criminal mastermind!

Ohhh Moffat you do like to play with us!

  • Sherlock Holmes probably the best gaydar ever.

  • Anyone else notice how heavily Jim's breathing all through this scene? Made me giggle. I dunno.

  • Omg I didn't realise until now that that's Moriarty! :O

  • even though jim said to sherlock later "did you like my little gay touch.. yea?" i still think he wasnt acting and that he actually is gay

  • LOL I love John's face when Jim is being clumsy. It's like he's thinking "oh dear god, he likes Sherlock, this is awkward. I'm just going to turn away now so that Sherlock doesn't see me..."

  • first time i saw this, i was like, moriarty!

  • @cctc11891 Me too!

  • The funny thing about Moriarty is that he seems more gay when he actually isn't playing gay...

  • John's face. xD He's definitely jealous that Sherlock is getting male attention from someone else... ;)

  • Somehow this becomes Moriarty's creepiest scene when watching in hindsight.

  • Is it weird "Jim" creeps me out but Moriarty doesnt...

  • If Sherlock had known who had just walked in, he probably wouldn't have been so "God, get this guy outta here now!"

  • Sherlock's face after Jim dropped the thing it was all "omg dis bitch tryna pull one on me? Mah hart belongs 2 watson you fool."

  • You have to read Molly's diary online! He went round hers and they watched Glee! omfg so funny

  • I love how talented Andrew Scott is at taking on completely different personas. I especially love how well he plays "absolutely insane" with Moriarty.

  • Im the only one here that ships Molly/Moriarty? I just madly love them. xD

  • @SheAlexify

Nope, so do I. It's deliciously creepy in all the right ways.

  • Remember what Irene siad about disguises...

  • Moriarty looks like very principled and elegant man:)

This scene: Particular brand of visible underwear.

    Swimming pool scene: WESTWOOD:)

This scene: "I'll better be off."

Swimming pool scene: "Well, I'll better be off." :)

  • John looks seriously concerned that Sherlock is gonna kill Jim when he knock over the petridish ^^

  • @2dark2die That really would've saved everyone the trouble had he done so . . .

  • One of my favorite scenes.

  • He must have been doing an English accent around everyone for 3 weeks...

  • what a brilliant, brilliant man! SH didn´t even notice anything odd. And weren´t we all like "of course he´s gay! good catch sherlock!"

he´s my favorite villain at the moment. the last episode was unbelievable!

  • Love you Jim! <3

  • When I found out that Moriarty dated Molly, I was like, "Wait, what? When?" Then I saw this and now, NOW I just fucking realized. I'm so dumb. -_-;

  • jajajaja buenísima la escena

  • LOL, oh this is BUH-RILLIANT. Gotta love Moriarty.

  • I love Johns little "oh god, you're dead... you're dead" look when "Jim" knocks off the dish at 0:20 !

  • I think that by the way John was acting, he thought Sherlock was going to snap at Jim. Especially when he knocked over the petri dish >.<

  • I love the way Sherlock acts all macho when he says 'hey'

And when Jim drops the petri dish and his voice goes "Sorry!" and laughs it makes me melt.

  • Comment removed

  • I actually thought Jim had some kind of mental disorder when I saw the clip, not that he is gay. *chuckles*

  • i love john's line right after moriarty speaks :)

  • Gotta admire Andrew Scott- AGAIN. He can do crazy Moriarty, lovely Jim from IT and nervous Rich Brook.

  • @duchess22 He's in a monologue come production called Sea Wall at the moment, and he is so adorable in it, you just want to hug him, and then think, 'but you 'killed' Sherlock Holmes...!'

  • @ThePeridotQueen Well, technically Sherlock "killed" himself, so don't feel bad about it :o)

  • Ha! When I first saw this scene I was like "Oh, poor Molly, her boyfriend is gay for Sherlock - OH WELL." And then he came back as Moriarty and I was like "DAMN - poor WATSON!"

  • @MissNephilimAngel honey, u better shut ur mouth RIGHT NOW or i will smack u

NOBODY gets between sherlock and watson.

  • @MissNephilimAngel lol exactly...and i love your username btw ;) xx

  • @awesomelyizzy Thank you :) xx

  • John's little facepalm - oh we were all thinking the same!

  • Sherlock was trollin'

  • ohhh moriarty you little flirt
