  • what do you mean in the title that the thrush is welded ?

  • @badazz876 thats what the muffler is called

  • @badazz876 it's the name of the muffler.

  • Beautiful.

  • I like all chevy trucks, but to me the 73-79 chevy's are my FAVORITE, Although that body style is from 73-87, the front end kind of got ruined in 81 when they switched to the vertical mounted rectangle headlights, 80 is very similar to 73-79 but with more rectangular headlights, same grille basically. Also the front fenders are better from 73-80 because of the rounded curve that seperates the 2-tone. Ahh chevy's they are the best.

  • To make that truck more beast idk what kind of motor you got in it but a 383 stroker has balls and id get bigger tires other then that shes a beauty

  • great looking truck

  • What size pipes are you running on your truck?

  • great truck

  • shes sexy are you gonna get bigger tires

  • NIOCE, get some 4 inch pipe on er, she'll sound even louder XD

  • 35's?! naw go 38's unless you really want 35's

  • Beautiful truck!

    I have a 1978 myself

    Jen

  • wow she is a beauty, my dad had a 79 scottsdale crew cab with a long bed, i loved it so much, he had a 454 in it tho and man was it fun to ride in, after he passed someone stoled it and i never seen it again, you got a real nice truck man,

  • thanks bud. sorry to hear about that, you should really think about getting another 73-87. really fun project trucks and just beasts all around. :)

  • @evanizakoolkat sounds nice, they are also pretty cheap to build in any respect as long as you don't crazy. I have two of them. One is on here if you look up 1978 c10 w/355 and there is two videos, one open headers and one with exhaust. I have a '77 and between the two I am going to have one awesome hot rod truck again awesome ride!

  • @evanizakoolkat sounds good, and to the guy you said should buy another 73-87 i completely agree. Cheap to buy, cheap to build if you keep it within reason. I have two a '77 and '78. One is a hot rod truck and the other is going to be one. The '78 is on here if you look up 1978 c10 w/355. One video is open headers and the other is with exhaust. The truck is light blue.

  • wicked nice truck man!

  • Sounds awesome, i have a 1980 K10 with glasspacks but i wanted to put Thrush welded mufflers on and i think this video just made it official lol thank you! Truck looks real nice! you dont have a body lift on there do you?

  • Thanks bud, nope no body lift just a 6 in suspension lift. Clears 35's like a breeze!

  • ohh ok, ya i bet it does. I got 33" super swampers and it they rubbed the fenders a bit so im thinking a body lift for now.

  • @evanizakoolkat sweet, im actually just going to put the same lift in my truck, rough country 6inch. Was it hard to do? what was the hardest and most time consuming part? thanks man

  • @discot315 the hardest part of the whole lift was getting the steering arm to come off. it was practically welded to the cones. besides that it's pretty straight forward. Don't cut corners get your driveshafts lengthened and brake lines lengthened to.

  • @1979chevyk10 Alright, yeah it took so long to get the steering arm off now the nut and cones are done and I cant find somewhere that can get new ones lol and Yeah I have the longer brake lines and im replacing ball joins, u joints, park brake cable etc while im at it and have it apart.

  • Love the sound and the color! What color is that? I'd love to have my 86 K20 painted like it.

  • Thanks!

The color is from PPG paints. Shop-Line mixing scheme.

    It is Sunbird Orange Met.

    Brand Code: 61536

    Main Layer: 61536

We painted the beast ourselves. It's a pretty cool color. In the sun the flakes really come out and it pops. On cloudier days its more of a dark orange.

  • i have a 97 serria i would like to put a rough country 6 inch lift in it is that a good idea ro should i go with a differnt company?

  • Rough Country is a good kit. I ride this truck pretty hard and have yet to have anything go wrong. It all depends on how much your willing to pay. Companies like BDS offer complete lifetime warranties for about triple the price. I ended up paying about $600 for this kit a few months back and another $150 to have the front and rear drive shafts lengthened. I also spent about another $175 dollars on various parts like extended brake lines ect. Buy based on what you can afford.

  • how loud is the drone going down the road? i like the sound outside but drive 3-400 miles to some of my fishing spots. droning exhaust gets old.

  • The drone is not that bad at all. It has to do a lot with the insulation and padding we have in the truck. The floor rusted out a few years back and we put in fiberglass to solve the problem. When we put the carpet back we laid in 1/2 inch noise deadening foam along with molded carpet. You can hear the engine obviously but it really isn't as bad as you'd expect it to be. The tires are louder than the damn exhaust when your indie the cab.

  • hey i just saw how your doors have speakers in them how did you put those in?

  • Cut a hole and screw them to the panel.

  • your right that does sound nice. i like mine a little louder though.
