I once knew this guy who had just the same type of hairstyle as the girl you're talking about. Really thick long black hair, but i didn't get lost in it. :)
I was on my way to view Saadia Reads 'Secret Garden' and I decided to stop by and check your video out. I enjoyed, and I have to say that I tend to agree with Lies About Love. Or what we as human beings refer to as 'love.' Saadia is definitely awesome.
fifty: thanks for commenting. Saadia is great. Don't tell HER that though - it will go right to her beautiful, raven-haired head :p (how can anyone so talented be soooooooo lovely?)
Hmmm... kinda the opposite to 1 CORINTHIANS 13: 4-8 which reads- LOVE IS PATIENT, LOVE IS KIND. IT DOES NOT ENVY, IT DOES NOT BOAST, IT IS NOT PROUD. IT IS NOT RUDE, IT IS NOT SELF-SEEKING, IT IS NOT EASILY ANGERED, IT KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS. LOVE DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL BUT REJOICES WITH THE TRUTH. IT ALWAYS PROTECTS, ALWAYS TRUSTS, ALWAYS HOPES, ALWAYS PERSEVERES. LOVE NEVER FAILS. I like her poem, it shows that not all people feel the same way about love...
ah ha... perhaps the author would think differently but my pov speaks out against a mothers love as unconditional whereas a lovers love is all to often quite the opposite. For shame, for fear, for ego, for doubt... damn it all I'm so burnt out!
I love when you go off the the ''jet black hair.'' To Hell with self control! Let the Jets of the Black Hair Air Force strafe the Blue Bunnies of your Poetic Soul! LOL & 8-)
it's always good to hear of talented artists on here, otherwise, the way this site works, we'd never hear of them, thanks for introducing me to so many great creators! great poem! great music!
Ozk3r: ElviraDark6 is really cool. I have a feeling there is an ocean of great original songs in her - I've been bugging her to do more of her own stuff...
Great setup, great poem. (I USED to have jet black hair, once. Does that count? Um...I don't anymore, though. Am actually a little low on the total hair count nowadays.) Again, it's a great poem, and you delivered it very well. I will definitely check her stuff out. Thanks.
proshka: King of poetry? I think you have me mixed up with New Warrior Man - maybe the drunken clown prince of poetry - hee hee... Anyway, you ARE the Queen you know... and your King would have to be much cooler than ME. :P
love the poem and love the way you set it up :) awesome :) if i ever decide to share anything that i write, i would be honored if you would even consider reading it ... even if you just read it to yourself lol
"It is madness says reason It is what it is says love It is unhappiness says caution It is nothing but pain says fear It has no future says insight It is what it is says love It is ridiculous says pride It is foolish says caution It is impossible says experience It is what it is says love." hunniebee: well, you'd have to talk to Saadia about that - SHE wrote the poem (and is a mom too). Thanks for commenting you little goddess...

Love is like a bottle of wine.
The faster you drink it the faster it's gone.
And you're left with a headache afterwards...

the poem is indeed pessimistic, but then again it was inspired by a Goth...you did it justice!
