  • I just beat the game!

  • So, what happened to Gogo?

  • Why is Edgar showing us the middle finger on 3:00?

  • God, hearing Relm turn into Shadow, makes me break out in goosebumps, every time. And hearing Celes' theme makes me break out into goosebumps. And mog to umaro. And umaro to gogo. And setzer to edgar/sabin

  • @Androzolan Huh? Shadow is Relm's father.

  • @BosshunterGuild i think he means how relm's theme goes into shadow's theme

  • @Androzolan You may want to replace 'turn into' with 'transition.' It sounds so... awkward.

  • I cried when Shadow was left behind, he finaly learned to have emotions and care about his friends, but he satyed behind to die. I also believe that he's Relm's dad,so that made it all the more sad

  • I act just like Umaro when I see the modern day Squaresoft compared to the golden days like this... U'GHAAAA!

Especially when I they remade Setzer in KH2... U'GHAAAAAAA D:

  • it was very beautiful how the remixed every character theme into the Ending .. that was very very beautiful .. i cant wait to play this game when its remake release ~~♥

  • When Relm's theme turns instantly to Shadow's theme... not gonna lie, that made me fuckin' emotional when I first saw it D:

  • 9:10 at 10:03 the best part... i love it

  • I don't actually understand, nor can I, how it is possible to 'dislike' this. I'd bet every single person who was brought to this page was drawn here by the delightful way in which many of the game's musical movements are merged in this ending. I'm 31, and it still raises the hairs on the back of my neck to listen to this. Final Fantasy VI was only rivalled, for me, by Xenogears. Both were games that immensely involved the mind and emotional make-up of the player. I'll never forget those moments

  • It breaks my heart to see this now. This is the best ending to any Final Fantasy. I remember playing this game and thinking it doesn't get better than this. FF7 proved me wrong. But with all do respect to FF10, this was the best ending of them all.

  • A million years ago I saw a PS1 Underground CD interview with Nobuo Uemetsu. To this day, I can't find it on youtube. He explains that part of the reason he wrote such sad and moving music is because his mother was dying while he was writing these songs. Wish I could find that interview...

  • @mikethered123 This music still makes me sad,i didn't used to listen to it too closely but when i did it felt like the song was saying:kefka destroyed the world brought misery and suffering, many things ceased to exist but you still did a good job,you saved lives as well as you could and brought peace to the world.

  • The most amazing game ever made. Inspiring storyline, character development, beautiful music ... I'm a girl, but there's something about these little pixelated characters that emotionally move you, much better than Cloud/Tifa, Squall/Rinoa, Tidus/Yuna, etc.

  • @lilbento Truth

  • I love the earlier ff games, the characters had such personalities ^_^

  • wow. I've never seen this version of Shadow's ending, only the one where it's his profile pic overlooking a single shot with no dialogue. I even rescued him in the world of ruin and had him in the party, etc... wow. even more reason to replay this again, stuff I've missed after all these years.

  • FF6 is indeed superb, but you're forgetting Chrono Trigger. Though I have a tough time deciding which is better, but yeah. They're both 11/10. And man, the music in both are grand. Everything about both is splendid. Proves you don't need new age high tech graphics for a perfect game. and hey, the characters, and story of 7 were superb too. Chrono Trigger would have to be one of the first of its kind, it was before its time certainly. Multiple endings *nods*. but 6 mmm <3

  • How can such tiny pixel sprites have such depth of character? More so than in any game I've ever played (2D or 3D)

  • Greatest FF game period. Nothing can top this game. The characters, the MUSIC, the STORY. Perfect 10/10. Most amazing RPG ever created.

  • Gau find shortcut!

    Damn I love this game.

  • This isn't a video game. It's a movie you can play.

  • DEMN! the theme of shadow, makes my eyes on tears i dont know why!

    BEST GAME EVER!

Who don´t brake down, when Old Cid did´t not recive more fresh fish......

or when Cyan Say good bye to his family......

    GRAte grate game!!

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GAME!

    Kefka was awesome.

  • 6:11 is the best part. After Locke's complicated history with Rachel, he relives that dreaded moment where she fell (only this time with Celes) and this time around, he saves her. And as he pulls her up, his heroic theme music plays. A broken man finally becomes whole again as he truly redeems himself.

  • @Scott89878 I would have to say 9:15 is the best part by far, best 30s of music in the game and it's only used in the credits

  • @Balish13 Yeah, the shadow sequence was also awesome! I like to believe shadow faked his own death so he could take a new identity as a better person and "start again".

  • It's all about character development.

  • It's undescribable ..all the mixed emotion I got while watching these... especially the part that says '' And you'' ...

I played this last year for the first time.... I didn't care about the grafics or anything, my brother was right, IT's an amazing -and probably beyond that- game

  • @9:15 tears came out of my eyes.

  • for me its FF4, FF6, FF7, FF1....I couldn't even stomach FF13

  • @CardboardWarlord I must admit though, 13 looked AWESOME. Gameplay sucked... but they did it in style :P

  • best game ever...ff7 is a close second ...either that or ff2/4 was amazing too

  • One person wants to live in the world of Ruin.

  • Make me glad that I still got this game on my Super Nintendo system.

  • the best FF are the VI and IX (knowing that i first time played to the VI was in 2007)

  • @bahiKAERU FF9 was practically a tribute to 3(US)/6(JAP)

Much of the music is the same, in fact I think 's overworld music is the same as 3/6's World of Balance overworld music, just remixed. The battle music was similar if I recall as well.

  • FF6 is my model for storytelling.

    My bible of fiction.

  • @GreenGearMood More RPGs - and media in general - should use FF6 as a storytelling model.

  • @GreenGearMood Game creators dont know how to create stories anymore. its all blood and mayhem or its a bust

  • When Edgar and Sabin's theme come in I get chills every time

  • Greatest game ever... and I'm gaming since 1989... I know my gaming... this game has no equal. There are other great games but, this ones at another level.

  • Melhor jogo de todos os tempos! Chega a dar vontade de chorar...

  • locke & celes 6:13 best part

  • No doubt about it. FFVI (FFIII on the SNES) is the best.

  • this would look really good in ps3 graphics, ps3 remake of ff6, not a bad idea

  • @tybonertyj12 bad idea. must be remade on the DS just like FFVI SNES counterparts FF IV and FF V.

this is Nintendo game (licensed), Sony got his own Final Fantasy games to get remade.

  • @enterprise0709 regardless of licensing issues and stuff, it wud totally look better on ps3 rather than ds

  • @tybonertyj12

Bad Idea. FF6 and 5 should be remade on the DS, just like FF3 and 4

  • I get a lump in my throat when I think of how Interceptor refused to escape the tower and instead stayed loyal to Shadow all the way to the death. :'(

  • @Kameelyun who said Shadow died? They purposefully left that up to the players interpretation. He did say he was "starting a new life" all over again.

  • @89Yx The newer translations make it pretty clear. Plus, his original last words were something along the lines of "Baram embrace me." (In a platonic sort of way.)

  • Bons tempos!!!!

  • Lindo final,linda música!!!

  • Each part is so awesome. As someone said, Cyan is the shit when dealing with switches. My favourite must be Setzer's, the two brothers', and Celes' and Locke, but the best is Gogo's for me.

Ironically, I don't like Terra's much. Kind of cheesy, maybe?

  • Favorited! Thanks, I really like all of the video.

  • I wish they would perform this at the FF concerts

  • Probably the best FF ever(at least for me). And it has the best osts by far!

    No main character - win!

  • Best game ever. All genres, all platforms.

  • but Chrono Trigger is really close ^^

  • This!

  • Damn, I remember the first time i beat Kefka... this ending was such a huge reward. There has never been a game ending before or since that could hit you below the belt like this one did.

  • 09.10, love it..

  • Never have I been more sad to finish a game than when I first beat this one.... truly one of the greatest.

  • The ending version of Gogo's theme is so much more epic than the normal.

  • I just noticed that Umaro's "U'ghaaaa!" is very similar to the Emperor's final line from FFII.

  • this is the greatest of all time for console rpgs, and quite possibly rpgs in general. Great story, greatest 16bit soundtrack, greatest ending, great gameplay, etc etc, the list can go on. Forever this will be my favorite RPG. I'm glad IGN put it at 9th place for games of all time, competing with tetris, ocarina of time, it ranks with game legends. :D

  • @NY1love its is 8th place now ive checked =]

  • I MISS FINAL FANTASY III (or VI for japenese)

  • This is the best ending sequence (incl. the credits) of any game in existence.

  • Greatest game ever made. Hands down. No game has ever come close to this and no game ever will. This is immortalized in legend and will never be forgotten. RIP Squaresoft.

  • I abosultely agree with "RIP Squaresoft". Enix isn't mesuring up to what Squaresoft once was... unfortunately.

  • It's an outstanding game for sure and arguably the greatest RPG ever made. But to call it the greatest game of all time is a little overboard with games such as FFVII, OoT (which I don't really care for), SM64, Tetris, Pac-Man, I could go on.

  • @dciguy01 FF7 isn't all that. If you poll Final Fantasy fans that started with the first and played each one available (this would exclude the, at the time, japan-only releases of FF2, 3, and 5) from start to finish in order of release, you'll find that FF6 is far the biggest favorite, with 4 not far behind, and FF7 is usually pretty far down the list.

FF7 is loved primarily the second generation of Final Fantasy fans, those that started with 7 and then branched out from there.

  • @RicoLen1

So basically what you're saying is that there's a division in the Final Fantasy fandom similar to the division between Star Trek fans over The Original Series and The Next Generation?

  • Indeed Squaresoft died. Now they only hunt money

  • @Booredyeah i like FFV & FFVI the same

  • @Booredyeah squaresoft is not dead, but is infected by eniX_Virus

if we can kill the virus, then squaresoft will be back

    ...i can only dream

  • umaro rocks!! green cherries foreveR!

  • jajajaja yeah!

  • You notice how Edger and Celes are in most of the ending clips?

  • Edgar, Celes and Setzer are the only characters that you HAVE to get before running the final dungeon, as such they figure into most scenes in case your missing anyone

  • Is this ending on the Advance one?

They should pay some respect to Leo on the ending. When he died I got real depressed. That guy rocked....Even if you only played him for a minuet or two.

  • you know I've noticed that after the SNES alot of companies stopped putting in their credits a thank you to the fans.

I dunno to me they just seemed to at least WANT to thank you for taking some time out of your life to play their game which they had made.

  • Thats cause they don't care about the fans no one... now the companies are being ran by greedy sobs who only want money but won't ever really give the customers their moneys worth.

And since SE took over completely games from them lack a lot of effort...

  • They do thank the players. It's the very last thing you see in the credits!

  • I watch this video for the ending music. You have it all in one video while everyone else has it parts of 3. You are awesome.

  • Me too. Nobuo Uematsu is the greatest.

  • 8:46 shows that E=escalators are fun for all ages.

  • *escalators* typo :)

  • Weird, did they change the ending in a future release? I beat this on the SNES and the ending was much different...

  • How much different? Did you find every character?

  • Same ending. I've beat all versions. Though the ps1 remace had some nice cg as well.

  • They're the same but there're differences if you don't get Sabin, Locke, Strago or Shadow back, I think.

  • Comment removed

  • Shadow's segment gives me chills everytime.

  • Now that was an Ending!

  • ive never beat ff7 but i dont care, this is the best game of all time, the music was synced to the gameplay immecably and may never be beaten, This game is a true legend and in the retrospect of the games of time, This game should lead the charge.

  • Don't beat ff7. The ending will leave you saying WHAAAA..... This is one of if not the best endings there are and I think you will agree.

  • good to hear, im sick of ff7 fans saying its way better than ff3, about time some people gave this the respect it deserves, best game all time, will never be beaten only tied at best, and they will need nobuo uematsu to even compete.

  • @Balish13 your god damn right.

  • @Balish13

Personally, I'm not a 6 or 7 fanboy. I say they're BOTH the best games ever. They both had a great story, a great villain, great music, and great characters. I love both of them.

  • @Balish13 I think ppl say that FF7 is better cuz it's the first 3D FF and it has a lot of news, but FF3 is the best, impossible to disagree.

  • @Balish13 When you look closely at both games, there's a lot of stuff in FF7 that FF6 did first.

  • I love how Celes' and Locke's themes overlap.

  • Just brilliant.

  • one of my favorite games of time in the snes era

  • Gau speak like Guy? Gau speak like Guy! But Gau not Guy!

  • I speak Guy of Final Fantasy II.

  • Final Fantasy VI puts other games to shame when it comes to endings. It even puts most movies to shame when it comes to saying goodbye.

After beating every game that I've ever played, I've always felt sad because I wanted to continue the journey, I didn't want it to end. Not with this game; you feel like everything has been accomplish, and its time to be proud.

    Take that FF7!!

  • yea that is soo true but I want to go where they flew with the Air ship this is a great ending

  • The best FF game I've ever played. I loved the ending.

  • This game was so awesome. Music alone is just brilliant.

    Gau's theme makes me cry

  • lol, each person has his own interest of all the characters...

  • Cyan is the shit.

  • This is awesome song! Gogo's part is great! In my opinion, Gogo is (or isn't) the same Gogo from FF5 just with a much different apperance. Either way, Gogo is #1. :)

  • Mog. Is. Best.

  • wait so is gogo darryl o.o???

  • Shadow is the man!

  • setzer fuck yah

  • Why is Shadow represented by an apple?

  • if you watch, the apple ends up getting throwing stars lodged in it

  • by killing himself, shadow IS running... sad.

  • Shadow is the second best character...why make him die? Gogo is the best though...Does he die...?

  • Gogo doesn't die...He's on the Airship when this video ends.

  • at first i thought Shadow was commiting suicide, i hoped he wouldnt, but i guess he did, i think he should have met up with Relm and then said the part about not running

  • Well, either he believes in reincarnation or he planned to stage his death and emerge from the ruins of the tower pretending to be a completely new person, and never meet up with the game's cast. Either way I doubt he intended to just kill himself outright.

  • @lighth4zard

I believe what he meant was that it was that his fate was tied to Baram's, and since Baram died, he'd been running away from his own fate by living as Shadow. And by ending his life, he could finally stop running.

  • shadow is good

  • sweeet.
